I'm not "up" on current research either Rip. I nod off. But I'm pretty sure, from personal experience, that nicotine is addictive. inhaling it is. Like drinking caffeine, but a bit less harmful.
It's clearly not the only thing that attracts us to cigs, but to go down the path of implying that nicotine is benign won't endear anyone not involved.
