I think this is their response to the criticism of the filler material in the heads. I suppose they had to make the hole bigger to get enough juice to the cotton.

IMO, the juice holes have been increased to satisfy the increasing trend for high vg juices. I can see this being a problem for thinner, high pg juice. I have a feeling the American market is being satisfied at the cost of the UK/European market that has not yet caught up with the US.

I have a feeling the American market is being satisfied at the cost of the UK/European market that has not yet caught up with the US. Aspire received requests, on their forum, to divulge the exact composition of the filler in the heads. They refused and when Kanger used cotton in their new heads said they would do so as well. Now they have. The US market is their priority and that's where the first shipment of the new heads has arrived. When they arrive in the UK I'll get some to play with.

The rebuilt heads with the drilled out juice holes have no issues with flooding (although admittedly I never go much above 60/40) - I think this is more Aspire reacting to Kanger's use of Cotton in the OCC heads.
The rebuilt heads are very good though so anything that makes them easier is definitely a good thing
