To make 10ml of 12mg liquid you would need 1.8ml of 72mg/ml base.
If your liquid is already 6mg you need to add 0.9ml of 72mg base
It will effect the flavour as you will be diluting your 6mg liquid down by roughly 10% but it should still taste ok.

I'm genuinely impressed JMW, my head went into meltdown at the question!

To put 6mg up to 12mg, you would need to add an equal amount of 18mg (10ml of 6 and 10ml of 18 will give 20ml of 12mg) and you will weaken the flavour by 50% unless you use the SAME flavour eliquid at 18mg. To put 0 up to 12 you would need an equal amount of 24mg liquid. OR do it jmw2309 way and the flavour loss is minimal. Have a look at ejuice me up calculator, that has a nic combine feature.

0.9ml is slightly rounded up to make measuring easier but is not noticeable difference in my experience.
I assumed you wanted to add plain nic base to it but adding a higher strength of the same juice will elizabeth the small loss of flavour

I keep meaning to look into this -- adding nicotine as I have 6 vampire vape flavours at zero nicotine (it was 60 pence a bottle in clearance!) I just wanted to know what flavours I'd like so I'll be wanting it with some nicotine, mind you I vape from 6 up to 12 and steps in between so I'm not that bothered

It's 1ml of 72mg per 10ml of 6mg according to EJMUs' nic combine
and 2ml of 72mg per 10ml of 0mg

I dont think I have a clue where to start working all those percentages out If your questions were a bit more specific, ie what you have (what liquid and how much) then we could help you better.
