Cloupor mini Statement 2015-02-03 17:40:13 Posted in Latest News By cloupor To Cloupor mini owners: We are so sorry to bring some customers any trouble during last few days . To satisfy the huge market , we worked hard for the large production . And we actually didn’t control the whole quality system very well at that time. About 0.1%-0.2% Cloupor mini may have overheat or short circuit or some other different defective problems. This may cause the circuit board melted down, but it will never reach to a ignition point to make other things burn , let alone catch fire. If yours with the above kind of problem ,be free to email us user@cloupor.com For the customers do not have any problem until now but worry about if yours with the potential overheat problem, here is a simple identify way: Connect a atomizer and press the fire button 15s at 30W(just one time) , if doesn’t show "Too hot" ,that’s a good unit. We’v found the source of the problem and changed the firmware .For the new batch we shipped from last week , no this overheat issues. Tough time may happen to any companies , we believe a positive attitude will make all things better . Thanks so much for your support ! And welcome any suggestion! www.cloupor.com/index.php?main_page=news&news_id=42

People have reported that theirs burn out after successfully passing the test and it would seem Cloupor can't offer any other way of checking so far. Be careful out there, I won't leave mine with a battery in unattended or carry in a pocket or bag.

WHEYEYYYY Mines a 'good one' I have also succeeded in receiving a hit to beat any amount of alcohol consumed by taking a toke on my atlantis tank at 30 watts AFTER doing the '15 seconds at 30 watts' and no "too hot" warning

Ok a little bit more tech stuff would of been nice, for me and to listen others views but it's something and will test mine later.
So build a sub ohm coil and heat it for 15s (assume this is cut off) at 30watts...
edit...some views in already.....

I mean Cloupor's statements, not the reports of them burning out after passing the test.

I'll wait for the fourth revision of the official statement before I pay any attention.
There was a pic of one in that thread @letsavit, was blowing flame like an firework. I'm a little indisposed or I'd hunt it out.

Has any of these actually produced a flame.......? Yep, look through the other thread and there is a photo of the flames, but they seem to go out.

I see they cut corners on quality control because they wanted to "satisfy the huge market", not because they wanted to sell as many as they could as fast as possible. Well i for one am relieved to know that it's the customers fault that they released substandard dangerous devices and not remotely Cloupor's fault. It's not like they could safely produce a number of units and release those and then produce further runs, that would be silly, they clearly had to put safety to one side and just churn the things out as fast as possible. We only have ourselves to blame.
Well Cloupor i for one intend to do my part to ensure you are never put in this terrible position of maximising profits in as short a time as possible again by not being part of the "huge demand" in future. Please accept my sincere apologies for forcing you to release dangerous and faulty products.

AND I can swap batteries I bought a burnt out ( not exploded! ) Vaporshark DNA30 from a guy on this forum think his username is david something, the problem was the DNA chip, I replaced the chip and battery and all is OK. I don't think we should all get our knickers in a twitch about the odd and very rare failure of an electrical circuit board, It happens, be it from China or the good old USA, in dog we trust!
