Well! I took the plunge and ordered two Orchid V6's because the reviews say they knock spots off all the other versions, but I can't find anything on wicking them, they say you don't need to tuck the wick down the juice grooves to stop flooding because they have raised the airholes, has anyone got any info on wicking these?? these are my first trip into RBA's there's plenty of info on the Orchid V4

I had two delivered yesterday. Coiled to .5ohm and wicked without sticking anything down the groove. Flood and leak city. Will be investing some time early next week to experiment, if I crack it I shall let you know.

Cut the wicks ends at 45 degrees and tuck half way down.

Just watched one on U/tube for the Billow which is similar, this guy tucks the wick under and adds a couple of small bits of wick between the post, you need to skip to near the end for wicking, but so far everything I've watched for the Orchids or things like Billows all seem to have some leakage problems,,

Thanks Jeff! seen all those and a few more, seems like wicking is try it and see what happens, I can never work out why some people wicking the same way you'll have one with leaks and another that don't, I'll just try them all and invent one if they don't work,,

Wicked both mine as per the billow video. No leaking or flooding whatsoever after a few hours use each, great flavour as well running at 0.4 and 30 watts.

For me wicking a Kayfun to run at 15watts takes the skill of a surgeon, or pot luck in my case...! orchid at them watts the juice will find it's way to any old wick I use to stick in it....can't live with the posts though, they do my head in.
If you haven't got the removal Chimney cap them priming and shaping the wick towards the block helps, as obviously you can't see if it moves thereafter, but as above even so its a very forgiving atty IMHO.

OK! I should know this sort of thing by now, but I've always been happy with the suppplied drip tips that come with my Atties, but I'm not to keen on the look of the drip tip on the Orchid, I've seen some nice ones but what size do I need for the Orchid??

Thanks Lets! think I had a brain fart, I know they are 510, what threw me was some of mine are screw in type, and I wondered if it made a difference that the drip tips on the Orchid have two O rings, all mine just have one, my guess is the two O rong ones would be less wobbly,,
