I'm currently using a sigelei zmax v3 telescopic but it's getting a bit worn out - with a kanger aero tank on top in 18650 mode which is also getting a bit worn out!
I tried the eGrip but it was a bit too small in the hand for me. I bought a nautilus bvc tank a couple of months ago and couldn't get on with it no matter how hard I tried. Was really harsh for me no matter what I did.
I was thinking about trying the new kanger subtank but wasn't sure if it would work with the zmax (I know the 1.2ohm coils would) I also don't know if the subtank would be right for me as I keep seeing people that review these tanks talk about lung hits- Which I don't do.
Basically I'm asking for some help on choosing a new mod and a tank, I can't rebuild although I'd like to learn and I'd like to keep the total cost to around £80.
I'm sorry this is a massive wall of confusing text, I've been out of the vaping game for a while and want to get back into the swing of it and get my head around the latest stuff.
Cheers - Gaz

Arrowmunda have a look here on the Subtank - allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/50613/kangertech-subtank-miniAlthough I state its best for lung inhales if you go to page 2 you'll see they are options to use different coils which suggest to me it may enable mouth to lung and tighten up the draw. Using a narrower bore drip tip is also likely to tighten it up. The Smok M65 box mod seem to be popular but mines on the slow boat so can't comment as of yet, in fact it's still in the FT basket.

Theres a huge amount of gear out there that will give very good results and be well within your budget.
Only problem is that whatever I, or anyone suggests, will be shot down with other peoples ideas, biasis.
Would suggest that many of the Chinese DNA 30 mods/clones work very well in real terms, snobbery aside
Finding a deccent atty is another matter, if you are happy with building your own coils I would suggest a good quality Kayfun clone, I have a couple of of Hcigar clones and am very happy with them, but am lead to believe the Tobago clones are very good also. The Kayfun clones ,as are the origionals, are quite easy to rebiuld, and work very well.
There is a huge amount of info out there on Utube, a must in my opinion.
Good luck with your quest, if I can help in anyway just PM.

Get a TZmax with the flat top from fasttech HERE and then Get a Kanger Protank II HERE with some Jonco or Naturevape coils and you'll have a great set up for around £40

tbh it is down to personal preference now if you want something cheap the istick seems to be the go to mod at the moe but it wont last long if not treated nice tank wise kayfuns are good for mouth lung hits and ive got myself a erl clone which is rather nice, both are single coil tanks and can be had for under £10 each would stay away from the clouper mini as some have had melt downs

Thanks all! That smok looks good! I think I'll be ordering one of them come pay day.
I'm on my mobile so can't quote everyone but I'll be looking into everything you guys have said.
I appreciate that everyone has different tastes / preferences etc and can't thank you all enough for trying to answer such broad questions.

Lemo or Lemo drop are great tanks, easy to build on and you can close the airflow right down if you want to for mouth to lung hits. As far as mods the drawback for me with the iStick is it has an inbuilt battery rather than a changeable one, i prefer to just be able to slap a fresh battery in when needed rather than wait for a device to recharge really spoilt for choice right now, the IPV Mini, the IPV Mini 2, the Sigelei Mini, the Sigelei 50watt v2, the Smok M65 all nice little box mods. I also agree with archiecat the DNA clones are great cheap mods too, might wanna plump for a DNA40 rather than a 30 though if you fancy trying out the whole temp sensing thing at some point, but even if you never use temp sensing you still have an extra 10watts for a few quid extra.

As decoy says its personnel preference i 've just started using Kanger subtanks and they are awesome (personnel opinion) and I've got a couple of Atlantis's on the way but they are on the boat still As for a mod I'm using a sigelei 100w which is one of those Mr reliable mods that will fire most things or my Clouper mini which again is an awesome mod but it is treated carefully as there have been issues!

I tried the eGrip but it was a bit too small in the hand for me. I bought a nautilus bvc tank a couple of months ago and couldn't get on with it no matter how hard I tried. Was really harsh for me no matter what I did. When you say the Egrip was too small, in what way? Height, width, depth? Or all of them? Knowing this will give people a better idea of what box mod to recommend.

Thanks! Never heard of them before, having read the reviews I'm excited to try it to compare to the stock heads!

Do you have any plastic dual 18650 battery cases close at hand?
The Smok M65 & the Sigelei Mini 30watt are very similar in size to one of these :
The battery case is wider than the box mods, by a few mm.
The box mods are just a bit taller though, by around 5-10mm.
That'll at least give you a rough idea how they feel to hold.

I think that'll be ok, because the eGrip has an inbuilt tank it makes it so much shorter. If I get either the smok or the sigelei mini will my old Efest IMR 18650 batteries be ok? I could do with some new ones now though if anyone has a suggestion?
