Hi , I'm new to vaping having got a 'Health E Cigarette' for Christmas. It's this one here www.alibaba.com/product-free/117219499/health_e_cig.html. I like it, but find it to be very unreliable and I wondered if anyone else has experience of these and if so, am I going wrong somewhere or have I just bought some poor kit? Since Christmas, I've bought loads of stuff for it and I now have 3 batteries and about 15 atomizers. I bought a batch of 10 atomizers, tested them on all 3 batteries and 3 out of the 10 were duds. Or so I thought. Trying them again a few days later, 2 of them worked! I just don't geddit. I'm quite technically minded but this is making me feel a bit of a mug ???. Now, I know the obvious answers are a) wet atomizers and b) uncharged batteries but I can assure you neither is the case. The batteries were all fully charged and these were brand new atomizers out of the packet. It's so weird. Some combination work, others don't. A certain atomizer might work with a certain battery but not another, likewise I can swap refills around and some seem more suited to certain atomizers etc. I just can't find any logic to it. Anyone out there have any experience of these that can offer some advice? If you can help, or know of something that performs far better, I'd be very grateful! Thanks, Mazz

Probably poor manufacturing tolerances and poor connections. Try reading a few newbie threads, most folks get recommended to go for a Riva kit. It doesn't look like a cigarette, but has massive battery life, good reputation and many accessories that can fit it.

Hi Mazz and welcome. I bought several of these type of e cigs years ago and they were all absolutely useless. I went back to smoking.

Crikey! That was fast! Thanks guys. I shall take your advice and investigate. I've tried reading through some of the newbie threads but find a lot of it very confusing. I thought I'd been sold a pub with this e cig to be honest. Let's go for something better. Thanks again!

Hi and welcome vcmazz, As to your question, gawd knows. If you could post a couple of pics of the batt and atomizer connectors then maybe someone could id them and suggest compatible stuff. Otherwise the kit Anne (fuzzy) has linked to is damn fine. It'll blow yer socks off compared to that health thingy cheers, John

Just looking at the Riva 1100. Quick question, how long do the atomizers tend to last? Should I order a few or are they pretty reliable?

You'd be better off getting cartomisers Mazz. Jason at Vape Escape will swap the atties for cartos. They're more reliable, hold more liquid and are easier to use, once you know how. But don't run before you can walk, don't want to confuse you too much at first! There's a discount code for vape escape too for members of this forum, will go and find it.

Just looking at the Riva 1100. Quick question, how long do the atomizers tend to last? Should I order a few or are they pretty reliable? Me, I'd ask Jason (Mr Vapeescape himself) to swap out the atomizers & cartridges in the kit for cartomizers instead. He's a gent and'll be happy to oblige. Cartomizers are essentially a cartridge and atomizer combined. You just fill em up and attach them to the battery and away you go. Less hassle than atomizers & cartridges and less topping up required. generally more economical in the long run too. Maybe give him a bell before placing your order and he'll be happy to advise further - I think he's used to it by now John Edit - oops cross posted - Anne types faster than me I think

Hi Mazz and a warm welcome to the forum.. back to your first point about the dud attys not working and then mysteriously working again ...its worth checking the center contact points to make sure they haven't been pushed up and are unable to make a good connection... they will move a slight bit if needed.
