Thanks Perpy - but how would he give her those?? wrapped in a piece of chicken (treat)?? That's what he does with the vets tabs. MMa Terribly sorry MM, I gave you duff info . . . garlic is not suitable for cats . . . although fine for dogs & humans to ward off fleas/mossies. But I'd really have to agree with what everyone else has said . . . Frontline and fumigation of the property would be the best way to go . . .

And they don't turn up in a huge van with anything you wouldn't want the neighbours to see written on the side, just a normal council van. So he can say hes having some repairs done Just give them a call, normaly can book you in within the next week or so, explain hes a pensioner, and just show the pension book on the day was all it took.

I agree with the majority, Frontline is best for fleas, I got a large tin of spray from the vets for the carpets and furnishings why my little monster got infested with fleas, but for the life of me I cant remember what it was called, will try and find out for you (I can remember it was in a purple tin). It was brilliant stuff and I think I paid £9.50 5yrs ago for quite a big tin

Just to clarify our position, we do not use the Bob Martin Spot On product - only the PLASTIC collars (not the felt ones at all) and none of my cats have ever suffered in any way.
With the information you've given however, we will now source another product. We've used Frontline previously, but that product produces a reaction in both of our cats and so we stopped using it (and the 'cover' didn't last that long for us either, unfortunately).
Isn't it strange how people (cats) have differing experiences with products? All I can say is that our two have been 100% with them. Hey ho.

It goes to show Peekay, how individual animals are in their reaction to medication . . . just like their two legged companions really. We're lucky to have the internet, so we can source the alternatives relatively easily.

Please don't give your cats garlic, it is toxic to them It's OK for dogs, but not for cats. I used to use Frontline combo but these days find that Stronghold is far better, however, it is only available on prescription.
