Just thought I would update on my shenanigans with my naughty Mini Nautilus. You can read some of the original information in these 2 links. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/49856/aspire-premium-kit-pig-poke?allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/50396/alternative-aspire-mini-nautilus?After faffing for a couple of weeks I've found out some insight into my device. As you may be aware we had 2 of these kits one for myself and the OH along with spare tanks. My kit is definitely operating differently. OH's has not been any trouble at all and his original coil is still working. I on the other hand have been through 4 coils and another complete tank in the process of elimination. Ive worked out that there is some kind of difference in the batteries and mine although identical, certainly does not like any juice other than 60/40 on 1.8ohms at 3.8V. Anything other than this and it starts spitting and ejecting juice, another difference is my battery drains far quicker than the OH. So maybe I should have returned it when I first got it (I noticed some slight scuffs on delivery) as someone did suggest it could be the battery. Lesson learned, any slight scuffs and it gets returned pronto, although must say I'm disappointed in the vendor they wasn't any help right from the start. I suspect my battery had been returned before but as the kits are not sealed its easy for the vendor to swap batteries. Just wanted to thank all the fabulous people on this forum that took the time to help me out with all their wonderful suggestions on the 2 threads, I have learned so very much from other peoples experiences. I'm going to stick with the Nautilus tanks and buy another battery something like the I stick I think? But thanks once again everyone.

The 30W has stainless steel 501 connector threads so they won't wear like the brass on the 20W. It fires down to a lower level than the 20W which means us lower wattage users won't suffer with overpower issues (burnt wicks).

Just get a box which takes an 18650, that way if you have a duff battery you can just pop another in without binning the whole device. There are several about now which are competitively inexpensive. The Sigelei Mini for example is £2(without battery) in price difference. linkEven comes with a free silicone sleeve. As for size difference. 30w iStick:23.0mm * 32.5 mm * 77.0mm 30w Sigelei Mini:22mm*36mm*90.3mm Not an awful lot in it.

The Sigelei mini has reverse battery protection unlike the DNA30 chip.

Ye its got the positive part of the 510 on a spring so it always makes contact. Can tighten attys down as some attys have slightly different 510 lengths which can cause shorts on some devices if overtightened.

Hi pippin, don't want to rain on your parade but you might want to read my thread 'Burning wicks' in the tips and troubleshooting section. Just saying.
