Its only been a week since I had my last anologue and vaping has replaced that stinky hobby, but since that first flavoured vape I haven't had any cravings or desires for choc/sweet treats etc and I wondered if this is a normal thing? I'm certainly not complaining as I was definitely on the verge of being a chocoholic (if not completely) and I would think nothing of devouring a big bar of cadbury's each night if it was in the cupboard. Grocery shopping would always include a long mooch around the choccy/sweet aisle... ...but now I've had none at all, and really don't fancy any anymore. The weight loss is obvious and my appetite for savoury/heatlhy foods seems to be on the up as well?! It's obviously all in the head, but i wonder if the sweet juices I'm vaping is sending signals to my brain telling it I've had a good sugar hit and therefore don't want any more? What a great side affect...and yet another financial saving inked to e-cigs!

I continue to devour chocolates with gusto so not really.
Especially after a meal. I cannot do without Morrison's Honeycomb..
Good side effect for you..

Definitely 2 birds! Just when you think it can't get any better! Yeah same here, Iv'e even lost a couple of pound as well Me too - I noticed today that my work trousers are falling down when I have heavy things in my pockets! Every other time I've tried quitting anologues I've piled the weight on, so this is a revelation and a God-send! Maccafan - what flavours do you vape often? (sweet/tobacco/menthol etc)

I'm sure you are right Giz, about your brain thinking you have already had a good sugar hit. I've never had a sweet tooth so it's not made any difference to me

Grape? The variety of flavours amazes me! Is it a full grapey flavour, or more of a light hint as you inhale?
My fave flavours at the moment are capuccino (amazing) and Marlboro (a really sweet version) and menthol (reserved for first thing in the morning, and laying in bed at night). I do think I would be considered a 'chain-vaper' right now as I constantly have my Ego in my hand whenever I'm at home, and I have spent so much time trying lots of flavours (About 12+).
I'm not off choccy/sweet things and I'm not on a diet, but I just don't fancy it, which is just plain old wierd for me!

Ah but I can't resist Walkers cheese & onion crisps - but so don't fancy vaping a cheese & onion flavour Of the fruit ones, I've tried apple & found that very refreshing - tasted like Granny Smith Apple

hi Giz, I found exactly the same at first too, the loss of the sweet tooth was totally unexpected, but so nice too, losing a few pounds, especially as all the times before that I had tried to give up smoking I always seemed to increase my weight ! Only bad thing is.......when I first got into vaping, I thought,'Oh, I love sweet flavours, so I will order all this sweet shop tasting e-juices; choc, raspberry, butterscotch, caramel etc', boy do I regret it now...YEEUUCCHH, gone totally off all things sweet when it comes to vaping. I am into the tobacco flavours right now BUT that could all change as my tastebuds have now taken on a whole new lease of life and unfortunately all the previous weight I have lost has now gone back on due to the NEW DELIGHTS of food tasting far better than when I was smoking. So all in all, swings and roundabouts, but hey I am enjoying it all, what with the new found taste buds and the tobacco flavours, life is good......

Chrissie - I like the idea of a cheese and onion vape! hehe.
RSB - I've gone on the sweet vape road, although I'm trying to keep it real and have a few tobacco flavours too (Which taste nothing like tobacco and are awful). A new lease of tastebud life is exciting, and if I am honest I have always said:
I'd rather eat good than look good any day!
So bring it on! (I don't have the bone structure to be thin, i'm sure?!!!)

I have never had a sweet tooth either so also can't comment and just like Chrissie I could eat a heap of cheese and onion crisps and also peanuts are a must, always have nuts in this house :-)

I usually binge on chocolate every once in a while , though you would never notice , I must add however I soon dropped to 1 sugar in my coffee after about 2 months of vaping , at the moment my favourite 5 volt vape is apple and blackcurrant from kev , this is bound to change next month lol , the only staple vape is menthol , which is a good thing really as I've just started with a cold and chest infection and it's the only bloody thing I can taste

Me too Gizmo, i was a chocoholic, had been all my life couldnt go through a day without eating a couple of bars or more now i can go a whole week without it, i still like it and if hubby buys me a bag of maltezers i will gobble em up, be rude not too But i just pass the chocolate aisle with ease now. I still have two sugars in my tea so maybe i should try and cut that down too.
