Erl clone on kato clone (mini) mod

Works on everything else.....just not connecting on kato clone

Taifun gs connects on kato clone so know it's not that...

Been doing my head in - been trying to fix it since 4pm and gotten spaced out doing so

Have tried

*adjusting the battery connector on kato

* adjusting connector pin on kato

* adjusting airflow on erl clone

Thought it was the airflow causing problems (well first thought it was a dead battery) as if that's too far out it doesn't connect with anything (sorry no pics but this makes sense)....

Can't seem to shift centre pin on erl (don't know how easy/hard this would be)

That's all I can think it is?

Any other ideas?

I have one erl clone working and not the other. Won't even fire on magneto. Think it's a problem with the centre pin/air flow......I'll get it fixed ...just a question of when (would covet prayer). On provari says OP. Other tank is working fine on Kato Clone - was a centre pin issue

The centre pin on all four of my Erls does unscrew (it secures the positive terminal to the deck) but on one of mine I've had to add a tiny o-ring to expose the pin head slightly to make a good contact.

Do you know which version of Erl it is that's causing problems?
Or where it came from?

if there's a way to resolve this centre pin issue would be most grateful (any tips on where to get the tiny o-rings from too?)

i know this might sound daft but have you tried it on your vtr it might be shorting,not the coil but the atty
if it is undo the center pin and there is a second screw in there ,slacken it and jiggle the top deck middle part so there is space all around it and re tighten the screw replace center pin ,job done

I bought this one from FT in mid December but I suspect it was a WATAFO version (that I bough in the classifieds here or UKV) that I added the o-ring to.
It's almost full of Vamp Vape right now so I won't take it apart to check...

I'm afraid the o-ring came from my magical box of spares (ie. no idea where any of the bits came from).
It seemed to fit losely around the screw section so I bunged it in and quite unexpectedly it forced the contact out by less than a millimetre.

(I think the problem I had wasn't particularly with the Erl but caused by another atomizer that has a longer 510 pin that pushes the positive contact right in on my Hana clone.)

I tried it on my provari (multiple times) and it just says OP - whatever that means? I have no idea

I will leave it for a few days and in the mean time order another from here - modsandatties.com/en/home/305-erikonigin-rba-clone.html?search_query=Erlkonigin&results=1 as these are the cheapest UK

Couldn't find the screw. Do you have any pics decoy? Shorted and steamed again when tried to rebuild

just stripped down a second clone and there is only one screw but i have had probs with both of the positive parts of the deck shorting

Yeah decoy makes sense. You play with that centre pin at thy peril. That's what did it!!!. All that was wrong with it prior was not connecting to Kato LOL

OP on the Provari means it's not seeing the atty coil so either the coil is goosed or more likely the atty 510 isn't connecting to the Provari 510.
If you fire the Provari with no atty attached you will also see OP on the screen, hope that helps

Yeah but my only adapter with a spring on the centre pin is the toilet seat Greg and that don't fit on the kato (nor look good) LOL

We have this sussed (After breaking at least one Erl)

If Erl works on other mods it is not the Erl. Don't touch anything bar the AFC (air flow controller) - you will regret it (it'll short!)

Make sure all screws and that includes the hex one on the bottom of the kato are tight

Make sure the 510 connector base is screwed in properly

With a normal (not phillips) mini screwdriver (pound shop) slightly unscrew the 510 pin from the kato (minus battery)

May take a few goes but normal service is shortly resumed. You're just turning it by about 1/8 of a turn so just by little bits, cos little bits matter
