Is this genuine

Hi i've just picked up this tank of somebody does this look genuine to you i ask because i was given a genuine protank 3 mini with a res non coil i've just filled up the tank in the picture below gone to put the res non coil in it and it doesn't fit it's too wide to go in the hole it screws in fine and everything it just won't fit in yet it fits in the mini i want to pick up a naturevape and the dual coil 1 is the 1 listed to fit in the protank 3 but that looks wider than the normal coil the pro coil i mean could it be that this is a clone i don't really want to get the wrong coil i'm confused

I'm not sure if the res non coil is a single or dual coil

Also there was an old coil in it when I put it on my vamo 5 it wouldn't fire the tank so I put it on the ivp and it fired it so I looked at the ohm and it was 3 something my ivp reads all my other coils correctly so it must be right could this be why the vamo wouldn't fire it ???

It looks genuine, im not sure what the highest resistance a vamo will fire are you sure the centre pin is connecting with vamo?

Yes I think it is flavourtank the mini one fires fine but the coil won't fit in the bigger one

flavourtank it 1.05 to 5.0 ohm for the vamo but I've just worked out how to read resistance on the vamo the mini pro tank with the res/non reads 1.9 spot on the big pro tank with the coil that was in it reads 9.9 ???? I didn't even think you could get that high ???

Head to Kanger's website and put the product serial number into the registration part of the site. That'll confirm if it's genuine.

9.9 usually means thats as high as it reads so effectively open circuit, the mod isn't connected to the arty / coil.

think you need to raise the centre pin on the vamo to use the PT-III, sounds like the mini-PT might be pushing it down a touch. 9.9Ohms on the vamo means open circuit, i.e. either the coil has completely popped OR the vamo pin and the +ive of the PT are not touching

Crikey, that would be a whole new level of deviousness. Buy a genuine Kanger, buy a **** clone, swap the clone into the genuine box, flog it at nearly the price of new. Hmm don't give anyone ideas Dave.

Did the one you bought come with a crap load of fixings, o rings and other bits and bobs? A swapper would probably have left them out, I'm guessing.

Editagain : the second pic has air where the spare coils would go?

@dabetherave GunJack no it only came as you see , I've tried it on the aspire mod as that's spring loaded won't work and on the ivp that weak you can't even feel it , so he is now sending me a genuine aerotank v2 with everything it comes with as he knows that works great , he says he's never used the pro tank and maybe its the base so he said keep hold of it as he knows someone who's just broke there tank bit so he's going to see if he can send me the bits to that one as it might fix it, at least he's sorting it all out for me and if doesn't work still I'll just bin it
I have had to pay a little more but the aerotank costs more a anyway but at least he knows this one has never given him a problem and he did state the pro tank might be clone as he didn't purchase it his self so didn't want to say genuine just in case as he couldn't be 100%
