exactly mowjo I've always laughed at juice reviews when they talk about the nuances of tastes on the exhale/inhale and thought 'Ballcocks!' its just fruit/custard/ etc its the same going in as coming out and as for layers and depth whaaaaa? ??? thought it was all a bit 'winetasting' but i'm starting to get a glimpse at what people are meaning now

Ah! Subtle Blueberry with hint of Summer Meadow and Seashore on the inhale followed by a smooth taste of Blueberry tinged with a hint of Blackberry and Sweaty socks on the Exhale,, I just love reviews, ??? after buying loads of recommended juices and finding them rank, I realised it's all down to personal taste, I have a couple of expensive juices in my cupboard I've been waiting for months to improve and the £1.00 juice I bought just to try thinking they were crap outshines them on taste every time, I love my Blueberry and use two different vendors now and eack one has it's own taste that I like and none of them cost me more than £10 for 100ml, but having said that although I only have two Blueberry juices I have six different taste's because I also found out the taste depends on the set up I'm vaping it on, most of the are below par on my starter kit, but stick the same juice in a protank of Iclear and both will give a better flavour in each, I think if anyone asked me about a juice now I'd just say try it and see, I think I'd do the same with mods and atties, because in the end your only telling them what you like, and it dosn't mean they will, like you sort of say Peps some people will just glug a fine wine down while others will savour it, I guess I'm one of those that if I like it that'll do for me,,, Mow,,,,

Yes, like I enjoy T Juice 'Jack The Ripple' but only in my billet box tank using a diver v2 (ceramic build with nr-r-nr wires) on my shop bought tanks and coils it has no taste and in my orchid its slightly over creamy with an odd toffee depth I'm not sure I like yet? I dripped Strawberry Fields Northern Munky and it had a lovely banana chocolate taste and almost a savoury base - but in my silo lite? nothing! I couldn't have even guessed at chocolate OR banana lesson learnt. Even on my atlantic I'm only getting chocolate.... looks like it'll have to be a squonking juice

Perhaps a question we should ask when anyone ask about the best juice is what are you vaping it on? I have limited kit, but now know that a juice vaped on my Evode Glass will be totally different tasting on my Protank or Iclear, and now I have the Orchids it's even better, why tell someone to spend £10 on 10ml of premium juice when they are using a basic kit and it will taste crap? they may just as well buy a £1.00 juice, it's like drinking Tea from a paper cup, a plastic cup, then a proper cup,,

I've already posted elsewhere that I had some old bottles at the back of the cupboard from when I started with basic evods, egos etc. and didn't like. But when I moved up through mechs and drippers and quality tanks and found that on retrying the older juices they were far more palatable.

I love my orchid's so it is so great to see others enjoying them too. My tip if you wick an orchid like a kayfun it will leak. You need much longer tapered wicks going into the four gaps of threads that the chimney screws onto. Both my v3 and v4 have been leak FREE since wicking this way. Please see this post from Resnik about trapping cotton in the gap in the threads when screwing the chimney on link

Alis! all the stuff I've watched has said don't put the tails down the juice channels just tuch the wick under on the V6 as far as I can see the V6 is the same as the V4 apart from the raised airholes on the V6, I'm going to try the way you say, because last night it dumped a tank full of juice, apart from a little dribble when I fill it, it has been fine and fine all day today, so it was odd it just dumper the juice out, i still love the dam thing I just wish I could sort out the leak, I did everything they said so the only thing I can think of is it's the amount of wick I put in, some say not too much others say put lots in, I'm just going to play around untill I find the right way I guess,
Something puzzling me! everything I see on wicking says don't cover the airholes, Why??? if the airhole is left uncovered isn't that just an open channel for juice to escape? if the wick covers the airhole wouldn't the juice just sit in the wick and not come out the airholes, daft I know but it's had me puzzled as no-one explains why! I can only think it blocks off the airflow in some way,,

mowjo, not sure if the V6 is different but I always place my coils directly over the air holes to get maximun cooling of the sub ohm coils or it would be too harsh. If you keep the wicking ends away from the airhole I cant see a problem. Although I'm no expert. I read somewhere that temperature changes can cause a tank to dump juice, not sure if that's correct but it happened to me a few times, so only used orchids on mech mods and never left on overnight, until I got the wicking right. Stick with it though, it's an amazing vape.

Also this you tube orchid vid posted on another thread really helped me understand the wicking.

I wick the orchid (v4) so there's no wick covering the juice channels at all. Tou have to shape the wicks on the deck so the each end of the wicks forms a physical barrier between the airhole and each juice channel. Some people do swear by putting a little wick in the juice channel but if you do this it needs to a very small amount of wick only, so little that it doesn't fill the channel completely.

Ok boys and girls! I actually found one on wicking that is working fine for me now, got got playing last night with both Orchids, I had some rank old juice and didn't mind wasting it, I tried tucking it under, having some down the juice channels, I think I did about eight different wicking ways, some were Ok ish, some the juice just peeded out, then I tried this guys wicking I've now been running both Orchid V6's with 50/50 juice for around ten hours and not a sign of any leaks, both Orchids gurgled a bit at first but after around ten toots it went, even when I laid one down the amount of leaking wasn't worth worrying about, now I don't know if it's my imagination but I don't seem to be using as much juice with this build, but I'm not sure if it's because I was loosing a lot from leaking with the other wicking methods, it's a bit of faffing to do but it's definatly working for me,

I forgot to mention! the wicking part is around 21 minutes in,,

Looks like I spoke too soon! it's leaking again, it will be fine all day then for no reason it will P out of the airhole, I'm using 50/50 juice so I don't know if it's too thin but as much as I love the flavour and amount of vapour I'm getting, I'm not sure I can live with the leaks, I only run it with one coil so was wondering if the Russian 91% would be better, they look pretty leak proof and I've heard good things about them,,
