So I have my new tank from siam mods, received this email from them this morning.
We have become aware, that due to a difference in manufacturing tolerances, some versions of the BOGE cartomiser, once punched, are difficult to fit through the stainless steel end caps. If you have made such a purchase, you may find it difficult to assemble the tank once the cartomiser is punched. The tank can still be assembled and used in this configuration, but requires you to press the bottom cap over the threads on the cartomiser, and then pushing down against a hard surface in order that the cartomiser threads pass through fully. In this configuration the cap works as it should, but of course it is not possible to use the free 'filler' tip to fill the tank. Once the bottom cap is in place, you can then assemble the rest of the tank by adding the normal length tank body. Before adding the top cap, you should fill the tank with your chosen liquid, leaving approximately 10mm space at the top of the tank body. Place the top cap on top and push while supporting the bottom cap and body, until the top cap is fully inside the tank body. The tank is now ready to use.
So how does this "filler tip" work?
And how does the advised way of doing it differ from the normal way?

I can't help you with the first question, as my tank ordered from Siam mods is lost in the post.
For the other tanks I use, the hole in my cartos measuring from the very bottom of a Boge carto is 14mm approx to the centre of the hole.
and I always punch 2 holes in the cartos, this is for Boge's...I tried the 2 hole thing on the XL dual coils and got lots of leaking. But 2 holes in the Boge's no problems, they wick and taste excellent.

The Tank Filler is the same as sold by Daz at Safercigs Womble.
Here's his demo video of how to use them . . . .

Thankyou, I was just coming on here to say I've worked it out the tank filler and I've worked out why you can't do it.
The holes in the cartos stop the bottom lid of the tank rising up enough to fill the tank that way. So you have to take the top off. First time I tried this, I ended up with a lap full of juice as I pulled the top off the tank to have a look and the carto/tank tube slid out as well, doh!
The top end is quite difficult to pull off, I should have put that one on the bottom. I'll change it round next time. Thanks Next time, remember to put the tank on a device first, so the carto stays in place.

Tbh Womble . . . I always take the tops off of any Tanks for filling, a dab of vaseline around the threads helps, then I just get a finger nail inbetween and pop the top off. . . it's the easiest way for me.

Thanks for the info, I seem to have it working and it seems to work very well. Although I did seem to have a lot of juice in the air tube for some reason it kept coming, I thought I must have made a hole in it when I punched the holes, but it suddenly stopped. I'll give a better report on it in a few days.

I've not contacted Siam mods yet Womble...I read a post on UKV that a batch of post went missing with their courier to blame, mine will have been in there. Not unduly worried, I'm sure it'll be sorted - I was wanting it in time for me summer hols lol. glad to hear you've got yours working. I'll struggle on with me cheap chibi tanks
