Windows 7 os

Does anyone have a windows 7 disc I could borrow please??

ive got windows 8 on my laptop and I'm having nothing but problems with it..tried ccleaner,complete reboot etc.
apparently the 4gb memory is only just enough to run win8??

i really can't justify buying a new laptop when all I use it for is long emails etc that I can't do on my iPad

Probably, would make a copy rather then lend, but there are different editions, which version: Home (deffo not got), Pro & Ultimate then if it's 32 or 64 bit. You are welcome to a copy of the disc, but there is a small chance your serial number will be mismatch, PM me.

The Windows 8 key won't work with Win7.

For webby stuff have you thought about linux. Ubuntu Desktop will do all the net stuff, browser email etc etc. It's faster than windows and it's FREE

Why not try the new windows 10 pre release?

I installed on one of my old laptops that only had 4gb of memory and it ran fine :)

Plus if you don't get on with it, it has the option to roll back to your original windows installation in no time at all :)

right guys I might of sorted it...seems GoPro studio was the problem (never thought it would cause this much trouble!!) ive spent all morning,cleaning,reloading and updating after a fresh install and its now working

I will want GoPro studio in the future but for now whilst I sort my current affairs out it can stay off then im just buying an imac!!

I only had Ultimate Edition disks and the original was one of Win 7 Starter/Home Basic/Home Premium/Professional according to the Lenvo site sh his key won't work, has anyone got the Home Edition disk?

I have only installed on one of my laptops but it seems to run a lot smoother and quicker than the Windows 7 professional I had on this laptop, which surprised as it was a pre-release version.

I'm not too much of a fan of their new tile system, but since you already have that in Windows 8 you will be used to it.

I think with windows 8, Microsoft were a bit hasty in trying out some of their new features, and it seems to me that with windows 10 they have hopefully addressed some of the issues that some people had with windows 8.

What has surprised me is that windows 10 will be free for existing owners of Windows 7 & 8, and so when it is released I may try it out on the others systems I have :)

I didn't try win 8, looked at it in my local pc shop and thought it was crap, so went no further.

I'm happy with win 7 , think it's a great operating system, but know it has a shelf life imposed by Microsoft.

Please do not reply to this ramble, and thankyou for your initial responce.

Microsoft, if something is good why **** with it!. How stupid of me its dollars aint it
