Aerotank Bases?

Ey up guys,

bit of advice required before pulling trigger on FT order...

Do the Aerotank v2 afc bases still fit the original PT heads and the PT/-2/-3 tanks okay? Just wanting to check as the V2 is almost 3mm taller than the original afc base. Any confirmation either way would be appreciated. Hanx in advance

If so give me a minute and I'll try one for you

Fits and works fine, but personally I prefer the v1 base, I find the v2 leaks through the airflow GunJack

cheers Q had thought they should, but that 3mm was bugging me slightly. Although, based on the leakage issue, might as well stick with V1s

I've got 4x v1s and 2x v2s the v2s are stuck away & never used, just kept as spares for emergency use

the v1 versions are polished (so I use them on my protank 2/3's) and the v2 airflow base is brushed, so goes on an aerotank - as its brushed body.

I cant mix and match..... it freaks me out as it doesnt look right! they fit but

I use either anything is better than the stock base.
They also with the aerotank as well as protank

granted, polished stuff does go a sort of frosted effect if its not rubbed down regularly <<<how wrong did that sound?
Since i've discovered how easy a brushed effect is to do i've been tempted to give most of my gear a going over on a scotch pad!
