Hazy with light cloud down here so we didn't even need sunglasses

I work at sea and by a happy coincidence the nearest land to us today was the faeroe Islands. It was a bit cloudy but managed to see pretty much the whole thing. First time I have managed to see one and it was really quite impressive.

well here in Lincolnshire we got it all   solar eclipse full frontal 
No cloud and a good view ...........got a bit cold though so went back indoors till the sun come out again

I'm really embarrassed, it went horribly dark here this morning for a few minutes (yes I KNOW its supposed to)

but I just assumed it was dark thunderclouds, muttered evilly about it raining on a work day (its long distant driving journey, weather matters! ) and threw the wall lights on - not even glancing up at the sky through patio windows ....

I've been reading about this solar eclipse in my facebook stream all week. Its a senior moment isnt it?

I said to youngest who is 11 but i think of him as 3, don't be scared, it will go really dark! Ummm no, it didn't. Went cold though!

Cloudy here this morning so watched it on BBC lol.
It was no wehefe near as impressive as the one in 99.

I saw that one. Busy A road was deserted. Went very dark and was very spooky

I missed it at work, being in a meeting, with my back to the window. The workplace is in the countryside, and it was noticeable as the light level dimmed that all the birdies suddenly stopped tweeting for a while. "Night time, sleepy time" their little bird brains were saying.
