Hi guys, i have been having a bit of a rought time lately with my istick batteries. Between me and me and MrMac we have 6 20w isticks. All but 1 is on its last legs through problems with the 510 connection and we cant be bothered to try and open them up etc. i have a working istick 30w bu have lost faith in them really. So back to my question, what i love about the isitcks is their ability to be charged via the usb and passthrough without the faffing of changing and carrying batteries but cant stand dodgy resistancies etc. Which has led me to look at an alternative possibly the Sigelei 30w box mod. currently i have red efest batteries which i operate within the amp limits (i do not go below 1.6ohms and highest wattage i use is 11 watts) would these be ok to use in the Segelei under the same conditions or should i get different batteries, dont ever see me going over that wattage or building lower ohm coils. in addition, the onboard charging of the istick i find convienient, which batteries could i use for this purpose i.e pop in a new one and instead of continually charging just charge via the usb port saftely? Thank you in advance x

You should be alight upto about 15 W with the red eFest 18650s just be careful not to exceed that and they will be fine with the on-board charging (as long as it is an amp or less, all mods I have seen are).

The Sigelei 30w mini has the option to use in DC-DC mode so it will only use the power from the battery iirc

Just to put a fly in the ointment, the threads on the sigelei are crap! Fine if you don't change atty's but even being careful mine have started to wear!

thanks guys and csmith10, have been checking out the sigelei thread and see that some are having issues with the 510, it is just so difficult to get a mod within budget that can last a good time. i thought about the segelei as i have 3 zmax's and the threads were ok on those albeit i moved on from them probably before any problems developed. Thank you shall bear that in mind. VapingBad, thank you for that saves me getting batteries for a while and i would charge via the pc or via a 750 wall plug. @tazmania441 i am not totally sure what you mean? reading back is it that if the segelei is being charged via the usb port that if used in passthrough it would only use the powere from the battery and not the input current if that makes sence?

Over all the sigelei is a good device which is only let down by the soft 510 threads.

yeah the threads are rubbish the plating is wearing away and it seems to be a copper colourd metal, i dont get why they would skimp on somthing that is so important to any device

I wouldn't lose faith with the iSticks just yet, eleaf sorted out the issues with the 510 and the output for the 30 and 50w versions. It seems they listened to what people had to say about their devices.
Although the 30/50 haven't been out for that long, I'm yet to see many people moaning about them.

definately rethinking whether the segelei is the way to go, may just see if i can get a couple more of the 30w sticks, as the one i have is only a few weeks old, i know it may take a while longer to see if there are any problems and need another mod fast lol

Have you tried using Bog Seats on your iSticks?

Ahhh ok jevans I shall look into that as it may be worth me getting some of those as the batteries themselves must still have plenty life in them Get Off My Cloud thank you for the suggestion, I have seen the ipv mentioned several times over the forum but wasn't sure due to the size, I shall have a look. I've also got a couple of really small box mods that I won't mention and they spoil me on the size front loo
