Box mods and batteries question

That is weird considering the 50v2 and the 100w i have both have stainless steel 510's i can't think why they would have cheaped out on the Mini.

yep i know its not like they dont know how to do it properly and use ss for the 510 like you said on the other boxes they do, real own goal on there part

Probably decided by the company accountant to save a few cents. Accountants are a nightmare for design engineers.

My wife's been using an istick 30 for about a month without issue unlike the 3 20watts she has and all three suffered 510 failure.

If your happy with the 30 watter I'd stick with more of them, the 510 is far far better than the 20w version

Also Mrsmac it seems that the sigelie mini should NOT be used as a pass through when charging.
It can be done but apparently it says in the manual not to do it.

Got to say though I was so nearly buying one till I read about the 510 thread issue.

I think as an immediate solution, I may just have to get another 30 wetter whilst I deliberate on the ipv mini which is coming in as a good option. Such a shame about the segelei though

May be worth considering the Heatvape defender. The 510 connector on these are replaceable - although I've not seen any replacements available! They are similar in price and power to the istick. I've not got one but I believe they are OK. I see Cloud9 are selling them which is a pretty good recommendation. No doubt you can get them cheaper elsewhere

I have the ipv mini - it's a very solid device, but it's quite a but bigger than the iStick. However, it feels built to last, and the 510 is sprung loaded.

I'm waiting for my iStick to give out (won't be long) and then I may get a 30w iStick to replace it as I like the smaller size for my pocket. I use the ipv in the house.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys and also the addition of the heatdefender one I shall do some reading.

Where it's everyone getting the loo seats from, I may get one for note and then either another 30 watt sick or the ipv mini, I just begrudge spending on so many batteries/mods but then the age old adage, you get what you pay for!
