I charged my e-grip yesterday morning, but didn't use it......This morning, it needed charging again, so there is obviously a problem.........Has anyone had one of these apart, as I want to know if I can replace the battery?

It is a shame.......... blakey has a nest of these mods & loves them.........I may have got the runt of the family with this one, but now I've got it up & vaping properly, I'm determined to get use out of it.............Hopefully, the one that's due to drop on my doormat any day now will prove worthy. Much disasembly involved, shit loads of hot glue to pull out to get at innards. batteries are the same as the vaporshark and are around £1.85 from hobby king.

Well, I certainly won't be tackling it.....I don't mind dismantling it, it's the putting back together that p**s*s me off....My soldering also leaves a lot to be desired.....(apart from that, I seem to recall the soldering iron getting lobbed out of the window)......... i took mine apart to have a look at the battery in advance of it going fizz. Will be a bit easier when I do have to replace it as theres not half as much hot glue to get out. If you wanna flog yours when the batt finally gives out drop me a PM.

As I said in my above post Perpetua , blakey has 7 (greedy sod) of these & he loves them & has had no grief whatsoever, so I think I was just unlucky with it.....I'll know when the other one arrives............Don't be put off, they are a great little mod (once you get it up & running correctly......... ) "Life...........is just a bowl of tricks!!!!!!"

Only you chrisjw only you . Mine are fine, not even a dribble as far as leaks go and batteries get charged each night ready for next day I trust mine so much that I'll even walk out the door with just one e-grip and no back up Just a spare rebuildable part should it be needed. I take 3 too work, one full of Cocomel- one full of vanilla slice & one full of blakeys ethol maltol mix. When I go out on my 5 mile walks I take one full of blackcurrant or one full of joyetech strawberry I have one in the car full of vanilla fudge and two spare units that have been put away for blakeys 2015 holiday and yes chrisjw if you do your adding - that makes 8

Well I finally got around to having another go with the re-buildable base; following the advice of blakey I stuffed a lot more cotton in to cover the airholes. The result was - no airflow at all I pulled the cotton out and cut about 2/3 mm off and re-stuffed it. It now works fine and after keeping it stood up all day, just the tiniest dribble of juice. A major improvement Actually I had no problem at all with it using the stock coil, but the re-buildable is much better if you can stop it chucking juice out. Worth persisting with. I did find some info about taking it apart chrisjwPost #122 here: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/46760/egrip-joyetech-hd-slideshow?page=9

I just use a small screwdriver to push the cotton back a bit after it's juiced.
