Tank! Isn't it the best feeling to actually make something which would otherwise cost a whole lot more?! It may not look as good but if it works then I'm happy. Early days yet with this, but so far it seems to be working as it should. I probs over filled it as I was watching the syringe and not the tank, but I managed 5mls. I chose to drill a whole at the top to allow easy fills, and used a tiny rubber bung that came with my e-lites to plug the hole. There are no leaks as yet, and thats after 2 hours of use. Thanks to everyone who post on here and allow monkeys like me to do things like this. Me = well chuffed!

Sandra - I used the video on the other post in the modders area by 'Woofy' as a guide, so the rubber seals from 2 x 20ml syringes. The only ones I could find have, what seems to be, much thinner seals than woofy's, but so far they work and haven't leaked. Gordy & Perps = thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm definitely a hands on person and I love to 'fiddle', and in this day and age if something can be diy'd that can save a few £££ then I will definitely give it a go. Eventually I want to try my hand at mixing (Already have my Boots VG ), but I have enough juice right now. For my next trick I would like to try my hand at both a 5v passthrough and a mod box - just waiting on the 510 battery connectors from the group buy. Whilst I wait I have 2 more syringes so am going to make a slightly longer tank to accomodate my XL carto's. I may utilise the full length of the syringes and make a few different lengthed(?) tanks, and then just swap the seals when needed. I am so glad that vaping has so many different sides to it. Smoking used to be such a large part of my life and vaping has taken over massively! Love this site

The longer you make your tanks, the more accurate they will be as spirit levels Glad you like the site, Giz

This is after 24 hours....(Although I have used other carto's so not a true reflection of my full vaping habit) 5ml capacity, I would say roughly 1ml has gone (Absolutely no leaks!) And I've just paid a visit to the vets and although they don't sell syringes, the vet actually came out and gave me one for free...but when I said I needed 4 they asked for a contribution to their collection pot - I had over £3 in shrapnel. Bit cheaper on the internet, but for speed you can't beat it!

Sounds a bit corny to say Giz . . . but having been a slave to smoking myself, for far too many years . . . it's a joy to find a pastime that not only satisfies my nicotine addiction, but has also become a huge and enjoyable part of my life. Looking forward to seeing your further 'mods'.

giz i do like your tanks did u use a pie cutter to get good edges as i have a smaller tank from syringe but the pipe cutter doesnt cut them as square as i would like I wish! I used a jigsaw, which has a specially designed case allowing the jigsaw to be used upside down as a scroll saw (which is no more accurate than normal use) and to be honest my edges are really not that straight. I filed the edges down, using the syringe plunger as a guide. Not perfect but close enough. That pipe cutter in the you-tube vid makes it so quick - I spent about 15 - 20 minutes faffing around! Also - out of the 4 syringes I coaxed from the vet, 3 of them have the flimsy rubber bungs and are absolutely no use what so ever! Back to ebay, although I did find a website that sell them for about 28p each, but have lost the link (It was something like 'Needles R us'?)

That's the place perps. In fact these are what I saw: www.needles-r-us.co.uk/20ml-syringe-24-p.aspBut looking at them they look the same as the 3 thin ones I got from the vets so not adequate. Are you looking at making a tank Perps?
