Took the plunge and bought the Boge standard cartomisers from Jason at Vape Escape, they arrived today. Found it very easy filling them via the condom method and yes can see the difference in vaping. Just wondering rather than using a separate cartomiser for each flavour, is it possible to clean them out after use to put a different flavour in or isnt it advised? Thanks for any help on this

there is videos on youtube where people boil them in a saucepan of water for a good while, not tried it myself..........but they say it's good for getting rid of the old flavours outta carts.

To be honest i don't vape extremely strong flavours a lot of mine are tobacco based so when i change flavour i put one over the top of the other and it creates a nice blend for a couple of fills then i get the new flavour only

I do the same with tobacco flavours and as mine are different ry4's it fine mixing them, other than that, I wash them very well with a running warm water tap and shake then wash then shake and stick them on the radiator, I am not to fussy and it suits me to do it that way.

At the moment I'm just exploring the flavors of the juices, got mainly menthol and fruit types as well as few "alcohol" types, most of them are quite light flavors apart from the lime and the "alcoholic" which seem very pungent, but will give that a go rather than "boiling them" At least the price of the carto's are reasonable so wont freak if I mess a few up, can always buy more!

the other option of course for flavour sampling is to direct drip - ie use an atomizer and drip tip - a couple drips and you can try the flavour out without tainting a carto but like you say cartos are cheap and flavours will vape out of them it just may take a little time for them to stabilise to the new flavour

The Griz Whiz is a good piece of kit for emptying cartos. Probably would'nt get rid of a ll the flavour, but it's worth using.

I normally vape through flavour changes.
For cleaning, I have cut off the bottom of a cart condom and have super-glued it on to the end of a syringe. I attach the business end of the cart to this contraption and draw hot water through it a few times and empty it down the sink before forcing hot water both ways using the same contraption and dry them out for a few hours..
This seems to clean them out ok -the wadding looks nice and clean after this- and gives a reasonably good vape afterwards..

Have run under water, soaked in vodka, used a home made grizwiz, and boiled whatever you do make sure you dry it all out. With my cartos I have blown them dry both ends in the gob and blow like your life depends on it then let it sit on tissue for a day to dry (vodka and washing with water), then dry burn about 3 seconds per hit about 5/6 times. Boiling i have used the recipe of boil for 10 minutes wash in cold water blow through then let it dry 24 hrs then dry burn as above boiling seems to work for me (being a cheapskate) just save all your cartos and boil at one time to save energy both gas and time. I am still on cartos over three weeks old if the draw gets tight i chuck them in another box ready to chuck in the freezer (to fluff the filling up) still yet to do so i cannot comment on wether it will be succesful or not All my info and testing has been from the various forums and youtube but the boiling seems to be the best way to go if you are being thrifty. That said any strong flavours (menthol etc) stay in the carto so despite being refreshed you need to keep these for the relevent flavour as the contaminated menthol will destroy most flavours you put in after. The dry burning just clears the coils of crud from previous juices. Sorry for the long post but I am a tight git and like to save money (sorry vendors) Again it doesnt matter if you fail, you waste a small amount of juice by refilling and the cost of a new cartomizer is far cheaper than a pack of 20 disgusting ciggies

Thanks everyone As I thought I would, I sort of messed up a carto, decided to try some of the lime e-juice from PV, it smelt really good from the bottle but when I put some in the carto and vaped it, it was a bit yuk, very drying and harsh, then thought to put some of daquiri in to see if that would cut the bitterness, it was just as harsh. Have run some warm water through the carto, blown through it, and put it in the airing cupboard to dry out see how that goes, if not will try boiling

The coils get wet anyway from the juice. I don't like menthol. Anyone remember Consulate?
