I know I asked about the old M50 a couple of months ago, and got some useful feedback, but due ti equipment failure at Chykensa Towers, I am now in the market for a backup replacement and am sorely tempted by the M65. I would appreciate it if you could give me your impressions and experience of this mod and if it's worth a punt! Thanks in advance!

M80 is retailing around £50... Probably cheaper if you did a search

Mine went back due to dropping wattage when battery went below around 80% but most other reviews I have seen have been good. I probably just got a bad one!

What's gone wrong at chykensea towers? OH's iStick has gone belly-up, so have done a sneaky swop with the similarly-coloured one which I kept in the van away from prying eyes! When she gets home from work I will have cleverly managed to get hers working again A very kind shopkeeper who will be known to many here has kindly ordered me an M65 and a pair of Samsung 25Rs this morning from a UK vendor which I hope to take delivery of early next week. The wife's iStick was one of the very first into this country last year, and has lasted nearly 7 months with no hesitation until last night, so at less than £5/month I don't think that's too shabby

jevans- no, it didn't. Dead as the proverbial; screen shows all the usuals, but won't recognise any atty I put on top. Has nearly a full charge, changing all the parameters doesn't make any difference, and cleaning the 'loo seat' hasn't helped either (sits back and waits for the usual barrage of hilarity!).

It's good if you get a good one chykensa. But as a buyer I'd have to ask you to avoid them. Mine is fine, but for every good one there's probably 4 bad ones! Earthing through stainless steel screws into an aluminium/zinc alloy isn't the best way to build a mod!! ETA: ALLEGEDLY!!!!!!

Bugger, wish I'd seen this earlier chykensa... we ended up taking them off sale - with a 20%+ return rate, we ended up just cutting our losses. If it's not too late for Helen to cancel the order, I would try to and get another iStick 50w.

Already been despatched lairey Never mind, thanks for the feedback everyone, I'll keep you posted once it arrives - if it's at all suspect it will be returned and a suitable replacement sought!

But big ring terminals and proper bolts not tiny self-tapper.
