Thanks have ordered just a couple of VG juices from Liberty-Flights so will see if they make a difference but going by what have found online I doubt it, just poor old gums having to deal with normal oxygen and blood supplies after such a long, long time. Gum disease unfortunately is problem in my family, my mum had to have ever tooth out at age 50, teeth all perfect but not gums and was almost paranoid about oral hygiene, her mum and sister were the same and lost theirs and none of them smoked. My sisters and me have had problems as well - girls in the family have bad gums and boys have crumbling back teeth. I have so far kept my teeth, but as dentist always said its just a matter of time, and me smoking was not helping, so now either gum health will eventually improve or I will lose them all, its something I have almost accepted . Even my daughter has been having gum problems and she has never smoked either ( I am only one).
Thanks everyone for your input, pain seems to have settled at a constant level now and mouth just feels very uncomfortable, as if teeth are being squeezed, I think most likely that is gums are actually starting to thicken up due to better blood flow and so will be normal size and its something I am just going to have to get used to.
Just going to stay on soups over next few days to give them a chance, as I said can afford to just live on fluids for a bit. Just thankful the horrible hunger I had first week has gone then it really would be hard to cope.
You have all put my mind at ease thank you........

Thanks everyone, sorry am so late replying. I have to go to doctors next week so will ask then until then will keep on with the Cordsyl and salt water rinises, plus usually brushing and stick to soup. It most likely is my poor old gums not knowing how to deal with so much oxygen and fresh blood after me smoking for so long. I know I sound daft saying I would be happy to vape without the vapour but so long as I get a good hit and taste am not bothered about clouds of vapour. Hey prep, you're in merseyside which is the birth place of home bargains, so you have loads of their stores around you, they stock a type of corsodyl, in a similar bottle, but much cheaper, I know how expensive that branded stuff is. I hope it gets better for you, it's horrible when you try and do something good, such as quitting, and life seems to throw nothing but obstacles at you. Well obstacles are there for overcoming, hang in there.

Thanks I will be out shopping tomorrow at a shopping centre not far that has Home Bargains in it so will have a look, at the moment I still have about half a bottle of Cordsyl but if I am going to be using it for a bit it certainly will be great if can get it cheaper as its definitely not cheap. Next week when I see the doctor I know she will happily give me some on prescription and as I have a prepay certificate it won't cost me anything - well not until it has to be renewed anyway My doctor has been a brick and never once nagged at me to stop smoking so will be giving her a big surprise when I tell her. I am not going to give in if I can help it, not just for sore gums, am determined I have stopped the nasties never to go back. I guess I cannot complain after smoking for 35 years to have some problems as my body is more used to me smoking than not so I have to expected some problems while body gets used to not getting all the nasties it was used to.

Argggggggggg just called my dentist as sore gums are well very, very sore - imagine very bad toothache, only snag area where pain is worst has no teeth as its where I had wisdom tooth removed 2 years ago. So call dentist only to be informed my dentist has gone from the surgery and the other dentists are full so I have to find a new dentist - they would have informed me when my next check- up was due, kind of them. So found one not to far away, and downloaded the forms they want filled in so hubby going to go up and hopefully register me, as they will not see you without registration and hoping they can see me tomorrow, otherwise its a trip to Dental hospital which is miles away and they might not see me as no bleeding, swelling or like.
One thing if anything is going to stop me ever going back on the nasties its this, no way in the world would I ever go through this twice.

Aww preps I had something similar, the roof of my mouth got very tender and painful, I just put it down to vaping too much, I reduced my vaping a bit and it went away after a few days. It made the roof of my mouth go like corrugated cardboard! really weird.

It made the roof of my mouth go like corrugated cardboard! really weird. My mouth also goes a bit sore on top when I vape too much at one time. I'm guessing I'm slightly allergic to something. but not enough to worry me. I think it's down to a certain juice or 2, but I'm not certain as I mix mine up to vape. But I think that Vermillion River premium No7 is the worst culprit, but I'm certainly not sure.

If you are worried Mr B, it's always worth a visit to your Dentist . . . just to put your mind at rest if nothing else.

Got an appointment this afternoon with a new dentist thankfully, as gum is so swollen is where I had my wisdom tooth out a while ago, and pain yesterday was ahem rather bad, found anti-inflammatory I had forgotten I had, chemist reminded me that doctor had given me them ages ago, helped thankfully. As chemist cheerfully put it, its most likely all the crude that has built up in my gums over the years that is causing me the problems as body tries to remove it.
Fags ends told me sore and bleeding gums is not unknown when you give up the nasties but it usually settles down in around a month, but mine is a bit worse than that, so I know must go to dentist.
This happening is definitely a way to ensure I never go back to nasties, as could not go through this a second time.
I wonder how dentist will be able e-cig, as will have to tell him am using it.
