Managed to repair an istick and an earl that weren't firing using the guide by Greg thanks for that bud, the istick seems sorted but the earl top and base are a bit loose due to the screws not tightening as the threads are stripped on a couple. The earl screws are very short, the istick ones much longer and I was thinking screws the same as the istick ones would fix it. Does anyone know what size they might be so I can order some please.

No idea what size the screws are but why not try the Istick screws in the earl first to see if your theory works rather than buying new screws only to find they don't work.

Tried that Greg and they seem like they would do the trick, the istick ones are ever so slightly fatter I think they would cure it. Woodscrews i can figure out little ones like that are a mystery to me I couldn't even guess what size they are.

A smart 20 screw is around 1.75mm in the mic. with chinese production standards I would hazard a guess they were probably aiming for 2mm?. I wouldnt have a clue where to start looking for some, good luck with finding summat to suit.
