Buy a cheap tank and smash it to get the hat-trick out of the way!

Take up amphibious vehicles as a hobby instead? oh, actually, don't do that. They break and they leak. Nasty combination that. Toyota Yaris?

This is too late for you now but I found this tip in a FT thread this morning and figured it might help sometime in the future... It seems that BD Plastipak 20ml syringes (Ref: 300629) are exactly the same diameter as Erlkonigen's. So when you run out of replacement tanks, buy some syringes (they're dirt cheap) and get someone less cack-handed to cut them down (with a saw, in a mitre block) to whatever length you want (I reckon the mini is 25mm and full-size is 38.5mm), sand the cut ends smooth and you've got robust, shock-proof tanks that'll resist most aggressive liquids. Apparently it's not difficult to get the syringe graduation marks off (ha!) if you want a completely clean looking tank. Seems like a winner to me!
