Smokers who found e-cigarettes effective and stopped smoking were excluded and only smokers who did not find e-cigarettes helpful were followed-up.

I give them a bit of credit for finding someone to refute the study, but it was still worded in a negative manner and should not have been published.  They probably got a shock when everyone they asked said it was a shit study.

I genuinely don't think it is worded that way bob. They clearly use the word "claim". They highlight the fact that a major scientific study last year found that vaping leads to stopping or reducing smoking. I just read it as presenting both sides, with the reporter taking no view.
Just because we are better informed, as we should be, doesn't mean it's biased.
