What is AG? I keep seeing it being mentioned lately all over the place don't mean just in forum Before vaping and ejuice, AG to me has always meant animal glycerine ie glycerine made from animal fats not something widely used these days and not something I would want to vape, but I am thinking it means something different at least I'm hoping it does
animal glycerin comes from using tallow or beef suet in soap making glycerin is a natural by product do proper cold process soap,

As VapingBad said, veg glycerin is a very viscous liquid, so several companies dilute it with about 10% deionised water to make it a bit thinner and more manageable clairea

Yep, I always dilute my VG with 15% distilled/deionised water and hence it becomes AG

Thank you, so it's just VG diluted with deionised water then?

Thank you, so it's just VG diluted with deionised water then? Yes, just 10 - 15 % water to thin it down so it's less like syrup.

Mmmm beefy vape Yep on some juices I use ag, I use distilled water to let the VG thin out a bit. Particially boots glycerin which is really gloopy and sweet.

I am changing over to as near as possible 100% VG\AG So wonder if you add vodka instead of water what would it be called? VVG? Sounds like a sexual transmitted disease lol

Some companies and home users may use Distilled / Deionised water... The better way is to use "Purified Lab Water", Distilled / Deionised water is not usually "Suitable for Human Consumption".

I use what ever bottled water the old lady has left over. Nuke it in the MW to ensure its relatively sterile for peace of mind. I can get to about 20% without noticeably loosing any vapour but that is with a 80VG/20PG mix.

Distilled and deionised are two different things, I for one would not like to vape deionised water !

Stroll on ....it's water, ffs. But, to be perfectly sure - you are just fine with distilled water. Forget adding deionised water, that is meant for car batteries.

Hoping for some additional info on water. I have a Reverse Osmosis water supply available (I have several fishtanks and I use RO water as it contains no chlorine or chloromine etc). Although the TDS is <10 (compared to around 400 out of the tap) can I assume this is safe to use to thin my VG? I drink the stuff on a daily basis anyway...
As H2O goes, it's purer than the commercially available bottled water on the market.
