Im looking forward to watching the progress of your build as ive had one of those Italian boxes sitting in my cupboard for ages, but ive just not got round to doing anything with it. What i found very strange about it is the supplier went to the trouble of cutting a hole for the fire button and enclosed a plastic button to fit but didnt bother cutting any out holes for the adjustment buttons. I had a quick look to see if you could squeeze some tactile buttons under the panel but was a bit concerned that they would foul the board below. I did toy with the idea that i would have to make some to use the onboard tacs.

Thanks for the advice guys, sorted for the fire button, but will need to look into the tactile buttons, there doesn't seem to be that much choice from what i have seen.
I'll most likely go the bees wax route and build it up over time, but will keep options open at the moment.
Thanks everyone.

Received from Box Mod Italy today.
I have found an issue which is likely only solved by fettling away the wood depth for the fire button with my trusty dremiel as the wood is far too thick in that area. Fire button is approx 10mm of thread, and the wood is 15 mm in thickness at that point. There's also a brass cover plate already cut for tactile up/ Down switches, and the large Dna screen, ( not shown in pics) Still trying to source a small squonking bottle which may need some adaption as it's going to be a tight fit with the curves of the box . Cheers

What size bottles are you looking for, diameter & height maybe I or someone else have some car147. I'll have a check in the morning VB, I tried a spare bottle from the Sc-1 Squonker group buy that Robby organised which is 6ml capacity, and was a very tight fit with a Keystone battery holder. So I'll measure that and post back here tomorrow with the info just to see if there's anything slightly smaller. Cheers.

Ok here goes, if anyone knows where I am likely to be able to source a squonk bottle 18mm or slightly less in width. Capacity will be fine at around 6 ml.
After checking the bottle from the Fire box Squonker , it is 20mm ( too tight a fit) and 8ml in capacity.
Cheers for any info

Cheers m8, I could possibly get the squonk bottle from the Fire box to fit, but it would require quite a bit of modding the keystone batt holder, or removing more wood from inside the box.
Off to have a look on those sites

I have a couple of squeezable 17 mm bottles I think 5 ml, they are 40 mm high to the thread and take either push in nozzles or screw top needle caps you are welcome to.
