A wee bit of progress today, damn those holes are small on the board, either that or my eye sight is getting worse! A couple of questions for our resident experts, I am trying to get my head round the 510 set up, which is a Fat Daddy v4, I exchanged the positive post for the bottom feeder version, now is it just a case of soldering onto the brass centre pin, or advisable to fit a ring connector? Also when connecting up the bottle to the centre pin to feed through the 510 , can I just drill the bottle ( thanks to VapingBad) and fit the silicone tube , and then straight onto the base pin on the Fat Daddy? It just seems too simple? And I cannot fathom what the two o rings and stainless steel tubes that came in the Fat Daddy conversion kit are for?

The two o-rings - you use one under the stainless pin, it goes between the pin and the brass pos connection of the 510. The attie compresses it when fitted and it forms a seal. The other is a spare And yes, it's just a case of soldering to the 510 pin for the positive connection.

Disaster!!! after fitting and wiring up the mod, the bleedin magic smoke was released when i put the battery in. I thought despite numerous checks that maybe i had a made a mistake, but no all the connections are as it should be. pretty naffed off, i might make it into a mech at some point, but certainly wont be buying another board. Back to just buying instead of building for me.. thanks to all that have helped, especially VapingBad who sent me some squonk bottles (if you need them back m8, just drop me a pm with your addy and i'll get them in the post.)

car147 oh mate I'm sorry to read that, it's disappointing when you've put work and thought into something and it goes belly up. As you say it's still useful as a mech.

Deep breaths mate, it won't seem so bad in a couple of days. Mine should arrive tomorrow so I may be creating some unwanted smoke tomorrow too !

I feel for you car147 but don't let it knock you back, we're all wearing the same tshirt as windows. Stick it all in a draw and go back to it at a later date.
