Hello everyone,
Soon I will be travelling and I was wondering if there was a list of major airports and their rules on e-cigs anywhere. I think this would be a great help for planning trips as you would know before you walked in if you could openly vape.
Also, I want to know how you guys vape in airports that don't allow it. I always try to find a smoking area if vaping is not allowed since I don't want airport security on me (they're pretty serious about everything nowadays I would assume?). However, these smoking areas are usually out of the way and a couple of hits from the vape isn't worth the effort of getting to them in the first place.
Do you find the smoking areas or do you go under cover?
Thanks guys.

Hi vape0rama, get yourself introduced over at the new members section, we don't bite As for your question im sure you will get alot of stealthy advice, i know that most don't have specific areas for vaping and you do have to use the smoking areas etc. If you are lucky to be going to Jamaica, then you can vape away in the lounge's NO PROBLEM MON!!

There is a thread on this somewhere on the forum, google the airport you are travelling from, should have the info somewhere, gatwick and southampton you can only vape in the smoking zones, sly one in the toilet, thats what ive resorted to,

Dont worry about it, i vape in every London area airport no problem, same been away, obviously don't blow out big clouds to draw attention, only problem I had in lots of travel has been Warsaw poland and Munich Germany, but very polite and no problems, seems UK attitude is ok never had problem in 6 years, just do not be obvious, which is a lesson to all vapors

I travel a lot and the best advice that i can give you is to firstly check with your carrier, some have certain rules and regulations concerning e-cigarettes. The second bit of advice is to be honest and upfront with the security staff. They know about e-cigarettes but have not seen all the weird and wonderful mods available so don't be surprised if they challenge and quiz you a bit about them. Be friendly and explain to them and you shouldn't have too much trouble. Batteries have to be in your hand luggage, that is a air regulation. Liquids need to be packaged so that they follow the same as any other liquids that you may be carrying [i'll save you my rant about this pointless exercise for another time]. No bottles more than 100ml in volume and no more than 400ml total. Don't be surprised if they get chemically or physically analysed, it's all part of the affront to justify spending £££ on airport security equipment. The thread linked below might be of some use: E-cigs travel guide
