Don't have a Goblin but usually these newer tanks come with 26awg Kanthal in the spares bag if as instructed doing 4-5 wraps per coil you're going to end with each coil being 0.4ohm as it's a dual coil setup your final resistance would then be 0.2ohms, these things are never bang on so your final resistance could end up slightly lower say 0.18ohms. Again i don't have a Vamo but most mods which only go to 1 decimal place will either round up or round down, it's possible your Vamo rounded down to 0.1ohms.
What it sounds like has happened here is whoever made the manual calculated for a single coil and didn't take into account it's a dual coil setup tank.

you may have shorted the coil leg from the neg post to the center pin ,i did this on my 1st build Sounds more likely unless they include some 20G wire lol.

its thicker than 26awg thats for sure 24awg would have similar results 5 wraps would give you a 0.3ohm coil making a dual coil set up 0.15 and again the vamo could be rounding down. Chinese manuals aren't famous for accurately describing the product or giving accurate instructions.

So what wire do people recommend for the coils then? To be fair I am loving it as it is, nice smooth draw, loads of vapour and no dry hits. Im just a bit worried its not going to do my batteries any good! I know its not shorting out as it glows nice and even with both coils heating up the same. Think I need something that reads to 2 decimal places for future builds as the vamo could be rounding down.

It's not so much a problem with the wire if the wire fits under the screws and the coils fit inside the chimney without touching the walls then it's fine just add more wraps to each of the coils next time for a higher resistance if you wanted to use the same gauge wire again. Or just use a thinner gauge wire next time . Use this link tool to calculate how many wraps you need for the gauge of wire you want to use to get to the resistance reading you want.

0.4 kanthal. 2mm diameter, 9,5 wraps gives 0,5 ohms when dual coiled, 1 ohm singe coil. 8.5 wraps of 32 gauge (0.2mm wire) would give you 1.5 ohms dual coil to fire up on your vamo, or 7.5 wraps at 33 gauge (0.18mm) wire if you prefer a warmer vape.
