A word about chargers - your little one will take an absolute age to charge your new Riva battery (when you get it!) but it won't do it any harm, i don't think!
But, i was told when I bought my new charger for my Rivas NOT to try to use it on my little cig-a-like ones even though they would fit!

LOL Des, I'm gonna have to stay out of this advice thing I think, I seem to get it wrong, I thought 2 x 1100 riva batteries, and the proper charger for £26 delivered was a brilliant deal since she already has the cartomisers she wants.
purely out of interest, why is it not a good idea?

How right you are Disco Des, Health is the most important thing here definitely. The money I've wasted on juice I won't use and the cartos that I had to throw away because i filled them all wrong and made a mess :-[ wasn't a fortune and not as much as if i was still on the patches even, never mind spending money on a weekly basis to clog up my lungs with 4000 chemicals!! Puts it in perspective Alvoram,Thank you for working all of that out and posting links etc, I appreciate that and will look into your ideas Khromm and Scylla Thank you for your encouragement and Kirsty thats brilliant thanks for clearing up the mystery of the juices for me, I do fancy trying the cherry menthol one too! I'm a bit rubbish at this forum malarky so please bear with me

It's a very good deal Alvo. Purely because 3 batteries are better than one. Five new cartos, and the charger she has will take AGES to charge a 1100 Riva battery at 100- 150 mA charge rate a 500mA charger will take 4 - 5 hours(ish) the one she has could take 11 hours. I may be wrong though! but i don't think I am Please DO NOT stay out of advice, us experienced vapers may miss something, I often do.

I'm a bit rubbish at this forum malarky so please bear with me Cherry menthol from Paradise vapes is Gert Lush! I am vaping it at this very moment from a cartomiser on a Riva. Tastes just like Cherry Tunes. It is even soothing my sore throat (hope it's not the onset of man-Flu as that is deadly!).

I thought it was a good deal, it's what I'm buying my mum, except with a 510 to rn4081 adapter, as she has loads of cartos for the supermini... So to switch her to the riva, with 2 1100, batteries, and the Riva charger, will cost me £26 Delivered.. I already have the adapter.. I saw this as a similar circumstance so thought I'd speak up feel like I've been told off now though... again

I wish i had one of those bum spaking smilies! You have NOT been told off, you are trying to be helpful, which is very commendable, your advice was good, you've given Freela another option that's all.

Here use mine EDIT: why is it that whenever I type the code for an AAEC based smiley, from within the quick reply, it doesn't show the smiley just the code, I have to click modify then send for it to work? weird.

Do you know, I was a bit nervous about joining and asking questions, but you are all so helpful!! I've got more out of this thread than all the wandering around the internet I've been doing and all because I was worried about sounding silly I'm like my Nan, who when being shown the internet and being told to 'ask' google something she did just that....out loud! She thinks the internet can see and hear you All your advice is helpful and useful as I really do have so much to learn both about forums and vaping! I am gonna speak to my hubby about buying the Riva as you are all positive about it and I trust your experience in e-cig matters. I really can't believe that I haven't smoked and keep getting moments of absolute elation that i haven't....its incredible....so conversation with Mr freela tomo and maybe see if I can get a better colour than pink or white....or just wait for better colours to come in...hmmmmm

Hello freela Everyone's advice and opinions are going to be a bit different, that's what makes us all unique! Yes, you could 'build' your own Riva, you can buy batteries, a charger and cones separately, then all you need are cartomisers, drip tips and e liquid. I imagine it might work out cheaper as you wouldn't be paying for a fancy box. You know the principles of e cigarettes, so don't need instructions.

BTW freela, I started with the riva kit, and love it, highly recommend it, if you can afford it, you won't regret it. Des is right, it is addictive, and everyone is very helpful. Once you've settled, you won't be able to stop yourself from trying to repay all the help you've been given, by trying to pay it forward. Didn't think about the box anne, that could actually come in really useful for juices and stuff, the OH has already tried to steal them both for jewellery.
