If I had received dodgy equipment I would certainly have contacted Customer Services with a well worded complaint. An atty should last a good deal longer than a week (excluding the LR or multi-pack ones as they have different terms & conditions attached to them with most sellers). At one time TW offered no warranty on multipacks until they realized they had to offer replacements for DoA ones. The law in England is quite specific about items being 'fit for the purpose' etc., and TW had received a good deal of complaints on the subject - so, they do actually take notice.
