I believe it's specifically designed to reel newbies in cos they think it's a bargain........... As a newbie I think I agree Ken.

At the risk of being accused of peering into the gift horse's mouth, I'm still rather intrigued by why TECC would be unloading ALL of their stock like this - if they were about to change their logo/merge with TW or something like that surely they wouldn't also reduce everything else right down to the Lorann flavourings? Oddly, it only crossed my mind recently that I hadn't been deluged with TW emails for ages (thought I'd been dropped off the mailing list) then got 3 today. I'm trying to remember when it was they last went in for a load of half price offers - was it around this time last year? I really don't see Jason as the kind who would lose his nerve after the way he's built his businesses but the cynical old book-keeper in me can't think of many good reasons to suddenly unload stock this way... or perhaps he's just got the taxman after him!!

Tetsy, I'm fairly certain is was last summer that TW had a 30% (or more) off sale. They, along with TECC, have just moved to larger premises so it doesn't look like Jason is thinking of calling it a day.
Got to admit though that I've also been puzzled & really did think that Jason was winding up TECC until they got the new compact kits in with their logo on them. So the only other thing I can come up with is they are trying to kill the competition & bring in loads of new customers. Or maybe for some reason he needs to boost his turnover figures more than profit at the moment?

Chrissie, I'm not sure what TECC are trying to boost but I think they are taking a short-term vew. They ignored my email asking for advice, so I returned the faulty items I'd bought - and received them back by return of post saying they had been tested and there was nothing wrong with them so they were sending them back! I thought maybe it was my fault so I charged the batteries again and they SEEMED to behave normally when charging (red then green light on charger etc) but I can puff until I'm blue in the face and they don't work. Most don't light up at all, a couple flicker feebly then go blank. The atomizers are as bad as my on-the-way-out old ones, I was knackered trying to use them! I have a feeling it's all previously-returned stuff they are unloading. By contrast, all the replacements I ordered from Liberty Flights and the things I've had from OKsmokey have been spot on. I've put it down to sad experience and dumped the lot, but I obviously would never buy anything from TECC again, nor advise anyone else to.

Inn, although I haven't had the experience you have (well not so far), I doubt I will be falling for sale items in the future.

Inn, I'm so very sorry to hear about your dreadful experience :-( returning items to you that you weren't happy about is so out of order IMHO Could I please ask all other members to post here if they have also had problems with faulty items from TECC or TW?

Thanks Chrissie. I was a bit shocked, especially as I'd got no reply to my email. I couldn't see how they could have done their "closer inspection and testing" before deciding "all of the batteries are in good working order" and still got it all back to me by return of post. Never encountered anything like that before.

I should just add, for the sake of fairness, that I also bought a 510 starter kit and a 510 PCC from TECC. Those items seem fine. (Both of the provided atomizers died within a week but I know atomizers are the weakest link.) Off to deepest Dartmoor for the weekend in the morning, will catch up with you all in a couple of days.

Rip off springs to mind. > So far I have only bought batteries and atties from Cloud 9 and O K Smokey. I have tested them all and they are fine. The only atty that I have been using constantly for 24 days was bought from Lisa at Cloud 9. I am really sorry that you have had this experience and glad that you have posted the problem on the forum as it may discourage others quite rightly from buying their products. Hope you have a good week end Inn. Ken.

I'm surprised to hear of 'returns' problems with TW (TECC) as I've had to send a couple of duff atties back for replacement and the service has been spot on, as has been the case with all suppliers I've dealt with to date. Foxy, I've been trying to think if there is anything we can do to help Inn with this matter. It just seems so wrong :-( The only thing I can think of is if Inn joins ECF & posts about it on TECC's sub-forum. www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/electronic-cigarette-company-tecc/Though she would need to make at least 5 posts first in the new members forum before she could post on that sub forum.

{{{Chrissie}}} You are so kind, but please don't worry. I'm totally happy with all the supplies I've had from everywhere else, and I won't let this little setback put me off. Writing about it here got it off my chest and now I'm happy to put it out of my mind. I know it's difficult for firms to guarantee consumables like these and you are bound to get some failures. Probably the fact I found the batteries AND the atomizers faulty made them think I was a terminal whinger and not the sort of customer they want. Other people seem to have had a much more positive experience of TECC.

(((Inn))) it's not right that they dismissed you like that. It must have felt like a slap in the face when they sent the faulty items back by return post

They obviously gave the items a very cursory test. You're taking the right route, Inn - ONWARDS & UPWARDS scyllla
