OK then... I have finally found a little bit of time to builds some coils and setup this thing, now comes the silly question (I know the answer)
Short of time so I've thrown a pair of coils together from some wire sent by mistake from FT, and they read 0.27ohm, so the question is.... Is that too low to squonk?

Thanks guys, I'll take them out & use them elsewhere.
It would be interesting to know what this wire from FT is.... I ordered the twisted but it arrived as normal (didn't bother with a ticket), it's labelled as Kanthal A1 25 but it's incredibly stiff and coils lovely

Yes the casing is plastic with skinny wiring, I wouldn't take it low without rewiring it myself. It's fine Very low the resistance of the wires will be to close to that of your atty so less power to your atty and a lot of heat will be generated in the wire. It is nothing to do with safety, just a poor vape and a good chance of melting the insulation.

Mainly the wire from the battery negative running up the centre of the body to the top plate, there is a shorter bit in the positive path which is no as much as a prob as only 20-30 mm long. There are some photos earlier in the thread and a few tweaks like especially from vern sanding the solder blob on the positive connector and replacing the battery negative contact with a spring, though springs are often frond upon by mech purists.

I see yeah that looks crap dunnit, so the gauge of the wire is too thin. What a piece of crap.
