Trial mixing on the cheap ?

I was having a thunk   and was wondering if a "no nic" approach to mixing would work seeing as nic is the most expensive component of the juice?

So if I want to make up say 10ml of a test juice at 50/50 with 2ml flavoring I could use 5ml VG, 3ml PG and 2ml PG based flavor. Would this "taste" different to using nic in the PG component?

As nic is tasteless, I'm thinking I could experiment creating my "sweaty gym socks and rubber band" flavor easier and cheaper and once perfected it, make up a batch with the relevant nic content?

In my experience taking the nic out of the mix entirely does make a difference. my 0 mg mixes always seem to lack something in the flavour.

I have found that even mixing at 3mg makes them much better. I am sure there are places that will do you a small.vottle of nic so you are not spending out too much just to try it?

You can do for instant flavour trials.
But if you left identical bottles of nic/no nic juice to steep they would taste completely different after a week,

bluestar do premixed unflavoured juice at a decent price 100ml for a £5.99 for example, prices vary on the quantity you buy, they do from 30ml up to 25 litres.
If they don't have the nicotine level or PG/VG ratio you want listed just order one and use the contact page after ordering and let them know what you want they'll make it to the spec you want.
100ml of juice should give a decent enough amount to experiment with.

thanks for the responses, it seems my idea won't work.

I've already got a batch of 50/50 @ 8mg mixed up which I use and just add flavors to... but seeing as of the 5 of already made, steeped and tested, only 2 were vapable and the others went down the sink, but i was only making 5ml batches so no big deal....

Experimentation continues....

It will work, as, for testing mixes, that's exactly what I did, pipeman01, to get the flavour strength just right. If rank or not up to scratch, it hasn't cost a lot to find out & you can carry on dabbling to get it right.

They do taste a tad different to nic'd juice, a bit like non alcoholic beer or decaf coffee, something is missing. Once you have it right & you make it up with the nic included, then all is good with the world.

I couldn't DISAGREE more, I did a test a while back, mixed 2 bottles of the same flavour (TJ Vamp Vape), one at 7.2mg and the other at 0mg, I didn't label either bottle, and to this day I cant tell you which was which they tasted exactly the same (I didn't even notice the lack of nic).

Now I'm not saying this will be the same for everyone, and it may differ with other flavours but in my trial it worked, and when I run out of nic I will be mixing 0mg all the time.

Give it a try pipeman01 , and try my little test as well, you may surprise yourself

My findings have been the same as Q, whenever I am trying out a new mix or even experimenting with one of my ADV's I will make up a 5 ml tester with 0 Nic and there's no detectable difference imo.

Interesting how we all differ . . . . I'm with jmw2309, someone let me have a try of their 0mg Red Astaire at our last Prestleigh meet - I probably wouldn't have known it was RA had they not told me!

Wouldn't do for us all to be the same though.
