Just tried a 1.8ohm coil in the Subtank since not coping with sub ohm personally- all screwed in ok - no legs hanging out - No atomiser. What am I fundamentally doing wrong?

Sounds like its not connecting with the battery.
What is it on?
And does the centre pin need adjusting to make the connection?

1.8 in a subtank needs a minimum of 18-20watt to get a good draw. im swapping between sub mini and nautilus mini and im forgetting to turn it up from 14w when i screw on the sub and its like sucking through a hose pipe. edit yup, got to be a twat job then

Take subtank off mod and put onto a solid surface centerpin touching it and push down, its probably a hairs gap between atomiser and pin and the sprung connection on mod are not strong enough to push it up. Happens to mine when I swap from coil to RDA.

what resistance were you aiming for? did u use a calculator? if so which one and what are the coil specs, wire size, diameter, and number of loops? perhaps you have gone over the resistance maximum for the devices?
istick20w is ok upto 3 ohm iirc??

Right just been testing and my brain fell out!! Put Subtank on iStick - no atomiser, put on cloupar = short. Put aerotank on first istick after sub tank = no atomiser!! Had to lift centre pin slightly and aerotank/istick happy. Put sub tank on alternative istick and off it goes ok! still hate it though.
Are there any tank garages / MOT centres for idiots to go to?????

Ha ha don't do it DrMark I've coiled my mini subtank between 1.8 and 2.6 ohms, love it and hate it so I've just got 2 new protanks for when I hate it, better than the marleys

The trouble is Bluefish they only do them in 0.5 and 1.2 ohm and like DrMark I can't tolerate them so it's the rba base and experimentation, the best result I had was with a 2.6 ohm twisted coil and Japanese cotton, it wouldn't suit everyone but hey ho that's vaping
