Just interested in what power people vape at, i have a couple of VW mods one upto 15w (minimum 1ohm) 1 x 30w (sub ohm capable) and 1 x 50w (sub ohm capable)
and with coils 0.3-0.8 ohm i vape at 15-25w so when i browse all the lovely vape toys offering 60w 100w 150w and even higher power output capacities im wondering does anyone actually use these higher power outputs????? or is it just a case of (some me included.. ) boys wanting bigger toys, like driving a 12 cylinder 3l engine sports car with a 70 mph speed limit..

I have a couple of 100w boxes and one 150w box generally i vape my tanks at somewhere between 25w and 40w there are exceptions where i will vape as low as 12w and others where i will vape a tank 60w. Drippers i will usually be about 45w - 60w but again there are occasions and times i will go up to 80w. A 50w mod would suit the majority of occasions for both tanks and dripping for me, the real advantage of the bigger mods is double the life between charges. Plus i like toys too

I mostly vape at 25w. But do sometimes venture into the 60w ranges, that's if I'm being totally honest just to show off infront of some mates who still smoke. I don't like it much as it's too hot for me. It's really a case of what you like. I still use my istick mini 10w ish and enjoy that. I can't even think about vaping at 100w or more

I don't take much notice of watts.......I go by volts and like 4 volts as my go to setting.
Wattage will vary widely depending on the build.
e.g. I have one build today 0.2 ohm......4 volts and it reads 64 watts and another build..... 0.2 ohm.......4 volts and 80 watts
Of course....one of the 0.2 ohms may be under and one may be over......one decimal place is a limitation.

Same as kreed I go by volts, any where from 3.2 to 4.2v with a suck it and see approach to whatever the coil is in.

The more you have available.......the less stress the box is under. Bonus is.......if you stick to lower ranges the batteries will last ages.

I usually vape tanks with pre-made coils at around 20-25W, RTA's at between 30-50W and RDA's all the way up to 100W. What people seem to misunderstand is that 100W is not for sub ohm coils, we went sub ohm when we were using mechs, with regulated mods you don't have to as you have the power on tap.. Stick a 2.5-3.5 ohm coil in a dripper and crank to 100W, amazing flavour due to the increased coil surface area without the mental spitting and heat that you would get if it was sub ohm.

most 100w devices only reach 100 watts if you build below say a certain resistance, for example a 2.5 ohm coil would need over 15 volts to get 100 watts and a 3.5 ohm coil would need just under 19 volts, i dont think any mod can deliver that sort of voltage i might be wrong though

I must be a "wuss", normal RBA`s up to max 10watts. Drippers max 14watts.
Tried higher watts, too hot for me.
( I am an `Olde Git` tho). lol.
