Just ordered one of these. With a very small bit of modding it's my new mini mill. Modified to bolt down on a solid work top instead of a tripod. My dremel mounted to the top instead of a camera. And a small height adjustable work table in font of it. Had to share this idea.

I've ordered this one.... Just mount a small plywood bed to the back screw and a couple of pipe clips, jubilee type to the dremel to that.
Looking at that pic, fix the dremel to the right hand side screw coming up from underneath. The dremel will point diagonally to the top right. With a small work bench type of table to hold your work piece so the to rail of the macro adjuster slides underneath. Hope you understand what I'm saying.

Yep I get the idea, thank you for sharing. Out of interest what sort of cutters will you be useing as the couple brands I have tried 1 was ekcheapo genetic crap on wood but brilliant on soft metals lol. And other a good make well was crap compared to the cost.

Worth a try if you can get the Dremel solidly fixed, pleas tag me bigd if it works well and I will get one. I have a Dremel router table and pillar drill and the Dremel is not held stable enough for my liking and only use the router table thing with cutting disc to get a fixed height. Maybe me, but neither are true perpendicular and the tool with move when under strain.

VapingBad. I haven't started on it yet but I'm just thinking along the lines of a piece of roughly 2"x1" 3" long carved out to the dremels body shape, then a couple of large jubilee clips to hold it together. Then screw it to the camera mount or weld an extension to the camera mount and more clips or clamps to strengthen it.

I'd be a wee bit bit sceptical of that setup TBH.
I've used my (fairly decent quality) pillar drill coupled with a cross vice to do some light milling and even that isn't rigid, or powerful enough to handle anything other than shallow cuts in timber and plastics.

That's all I intend to use it for. Cutting windows in mods etc, dressing up the inside after the heavier tools have done the major work.
