vaporsizer would it be possible to remove the first of the 2 links halfway through your post. Not that I don't trust PoTV members (I'm an innactive member there myself), it's just an open link to my server I'd rather not have visible - hope you understand. The same link is already there at the bottom, but not open.

Ripshod I know AWT 18650 2600mah 40A were suggested by someone else, but I don't see them on the list only the 2500mAh 35A

The 40Amp are over specced Bob. The 35Amp 2500mAh outperformed them in every way. Even Norbert wasn't impressed. So I dropped them, as has at least one vendor.

Just got a temp sensor for my hobby charger and charging 25Rs at 2 A they max temp was only 33 C, ambient 21 C, I can't speak for others but I am completely happy charging these at 2 A and don't think that it will reduce their life by much at all. I will try a VTC4 later in the week and expect that to get hotter.

Are we really to believe efest are now a battery manufacturer? Could this be an example of their QC?

Until it's confirmed I'd like to believe the cell that vented was one of the 'fakes'.

But I am looking into this.

Bear in mind that efest don't test the cells they rewrap, they just trust that they are what it says on the box.

ETA:  The vid maker's big mistake was doing the Amps calculation on the output of a regulated device. The output current is completely different from the current actually drawn from the cell. With the settings he used he was drawing 24 Amps.

Hasn't this vid maker made quite a few vids slating stuff he knows nothing about?? I'm not gonna go through his vids as I'm on mobile BB but his face and accent are very familiar.

Ripshod yes I thought that about the settings but even still Efest are rating these as 35A continuous. If they are doing that at 24A imagine what they'd do at 35A. Could be fake but look gen. And yes that guy is a bit of a tool.. but still I would steer well clear of these batteries.

Apparently but they used to be LG he2 but nobody really knows what they are nowadays. Fact is there's a lot of single 18650 regulated mods that push out over 50 watts on the market and these are the battery that many people will go for.

EDIT: I  personally wouldn't trust Efest re-wrapped  batteries in anything cos you don't know what cells they are using.

The 35Amp 2500mAh efests still are 20Amp.

These new 35Amp 2800mAh are definitely something bad. If you was to google '35Amp 2800 18650' the only results that even hint at being useful are efest.

My advice? Avoid the 2800s, stick with the 2500s - for now.

1500mah 30amp, also been tested at 35amp only going too 80*c..
