I'm using a pair of samsung 30q's at the mo' in a dual mech box. They seem to be performing well in my reserved 1.3ohm range (shucks) I did read a little whisper that they tested good for 20amp c with a little to spare..... hmm. Picked them up from ecolux. The LG HG2's btw are impressive in normal use. At that resistance they would be good, the extra capacity serves you well I bet. 20Amps? No way. Even Norbert states the max continuous is 15Amps. Maybe someone tested one that was good to 20Amps, that doesn't make them all safe at 20. Samsung should know, they specced it. Good to find quality batts with the extra mah yes. I used to have some panasonic 3400mah but the wrappers are too thick for some mods. These hg2's are excellent, still undecided on the 30q's yet. I'm inclined to agree with you on the 15amp c. |

Rewrapped Samsung 25Rs. Best vfm cell there is at the mo. Cheaper to buy the original thing tho - puremist £10 for 2 delivered. Really good to see some attention to safe batteries whether here or on any forum. If you want to test any more 18650's, i have been looking at the samsung 30q & the LG HG2. I have a pair of the HG2's on their first cycle right now in a dual mech box, they are performing great & over July i'll make up my mind how good i think they are. They do look to me like they will knock the 25r off the shelf but as ever i value input from anyone who has the capacity to test them more technically. Not to be sniffed at |

You edited as I was typing!!  I was going to give you that very link. Means a maximum 4.4 Amps. That strikes me a really strange - could be a typo but I'll read it through. ETA: It's a typo. However, the quoted IR (<100 milliohms) is really rather high, and certainly not suited to a high drain cell. Certainly a strange one that. Incedentaly AWT do a 35 Amp (20 Amps true) 2500 mAh cell that's rocking my mod atm. Perhaps it was those i heard about then, probably me being mistaken there. Cheers. |
