Think we should be adding LG HB6 too the list?? 1500mah 30amp, also been tested at 35amp only going too 80*c.. What you think VapingBad ? They are new to me, but Ripshod created and owns the list and did a better job than I would have.

I was up near him a few weeks ago and was tempted to pay a surprise visit, I only realised when I saw the sign post leaving Pontefract to come home, but it would have been out of order with no warning, never having meet before and only having his address as I posted him some spare fibre optic once (Don't worry Ripshod I didn't put your address on my phone, but I don't delete PM so could have dug it out)

The HB6 was considered originally. But there was a problem with the internal resistance. In a nutshell, when a fresh HB6 was given a 30Amp load the terminal voltage would drop to 3.4Volts within seconds. The IR in this case put it in the same realm as the HE2/4, making it totally unsuitable for regulated mods when fully loaded @30amps. The HB6, imho, should be considered a 20Amp cell, certainly no more than 25Amps (safely). At 20Amps there are a lot of better choices. Good job you didn't call by VapingBad, I've been on a contract in Tamworth since February

I want to compile a list of batteries with their power ratings, and lowest ohms (mech) as a quick reference guide for members so no maths is involved. I'd like to include as many batteries as possible, but due to the variable nature of rewraps I don't think they can be included. This is open for all members to suggest batteries bearing ^^^ in mind. I want to include the better batteries from Torchy and Ecolux (they're not all suitable for vaping) I'd like VapingBad to be involved too, invaluable experience and eloquence 18650: Sony VTC4 and VTC3 (VTC5 has no reliable sources) LG HE2 and HE4 Samsung 20R and 25R AW IMR18650 2200 mAh | AW IMR18650 2000 mAh | SHEESH, TRY GETTING TEST RESULTS FROM MR WANG IS LIKE ASKING FOR HIS CC DETAILS!!!!!!AW IMR18650 1600mAh | Nitecore NI18650A eFest 35 and 20Amp Can't include either. 35 is a 20Amp rewrap (LG), the 20 is a rewrapped 6.36 amp Panasonic NCR18650BE (ICR, bloody dangerous).JacVapour 18650 2500mAh Rewrapped Keeppower, which in turn is a rewrapped Samsung 25R EFEST PURPLE 2100MAH 38A KEEPPOWER 18650 2500mAh 20/35A Rewrapped LG Torchy 2500mAh 30A IMREN 2500mAh 40A IMREN 2600mAh 38A Solotech 2100MAH 30APanasonic CGR18650CH 18500: AW IMR18490 1200mAh AW IMR18490 1100mAh Efest IMR18500 1000mAh Efest IMR18500 1100mAh v2 18350: AW IMR18350 800 mAh AW IMR18350 700 mAh Efest IMR18350 700mah (Purple) Efest IMR18350 800mAh (Button) Efest IMR18350 800mAh (flat Top) JacVapour 18350 750mAh Rewrapped Keeppower KEEPPOWER 750mah 8/15A 26650: EFEST PURPLE 3500mAh 64A EFFEST GREEN 4200mAh 50A IMREN 3600mAh 60A IMREN 4200mAh 60A MXJO 3500mAh 35A MNKE 3500MAH 20/60A MNKE 4000mAh 20/60A Vappower 4200 mAh 40/60A Price means nowt. It's not a review, just a list. Over to you. I know, some rewraps are in the list. I'll weed them out and replace with the original cell if I can trace it Found this old thread . As I'm looking for the best 26650. Come across this Looking at the efest purple at 50amp and the green is 64amp can Someone explain what the amps mean. Would that depend on what mod you have.?

Taylor Amps are like the speed electricity is drawn/used, it is the unit that current (flow) is measured in, it is what makes thing get hot and if you try and take power from your battery too fast (higher amps that it can handle) bad things happen. Battery cells have to current ratings: continuous and pulse, only use the continuous to stay safe. Unfortunately EFest started a trend that many have followed by printing the pulse current on their batteries and now many other battery re-wrappers have followed. There are a couple of guides linked in my sig that have more detail including the one this thread is discussing and IIRC there are a couple of others in the Guides section that may help you understand.

I don't usually watch his reviews, but yeah, Phil kinda covers it well there. Very interesting that the Sony performs really well in comparison.
I believe the 26650's only advantage at the moment is the extra capacity. They may have been designed originally with just that intention. And again we see over-speccing on the lables.
Shame on the 26650s!
