Hi All. What kanthal would I use to re-coil Evod 1+2 / Protank 3, I usually use 1.8-2.4 Ohms.

www.steam-engine.org/coil.aspis a tool to help you design coils, just plug in wire size coil diameter, leg length, and number of cols for details of the resistance..

Hi @markdandav I'm not very experienced but I usually use .25mm round a 2mm former 7 to 8 turns gives me around the 1.8 - 2.0 ohms

Hi @markdandav I'm not very experienced but I usually use .25mm round a 2mm former 7 to 8 turns gives me around the 1.8 - 2.0 ohms I used 0.28mm, but the same 8 turns around 2.5mm. Came out at 1.4-1.5ohm, but with the better wick it was a dandy coil that I never strayed from.

I use 24 AWG on a 3mil drill bit, 7 wraps mostly comes out at 0.5. That's just a guide but ALWAYS check on a meter before you fire up. Hope that a help
