I have mate. The other day it just made the coil deform but this time it fired ok at 6 watts.

Had a good few hours on it now and his hitting all the spots now.
Settling in period im guessing. I get the same on my kanthal builds with my blackjack.

Plenty of vapour, flavour, vapour and heat now at 440f 25 watts.

I love it mate I won't touch anything that isn't a dna now lol you using a clone or the real deal?

Clone teeth. Kangxin Vapor Flask v3 with temp control.

Did the singe test at 410f and cotton was spot on. Very happy.

I have aakwd Gearbest to review the Kangxin Mini temp control mod so hoping i get that in the mail soon.

Roscopecotrain now it's going nicely try turning the temp down every now and again until you don't like it as much to see the effect on the flavour.

@scooby thank you so much for the twisted nickel.
Just chucked in 8 wraps of twisted 0.2mm round a 3mm in my kayfun. Firing very well and came out at 0.25 ohms. Just letting it cool now before i crack it on the vapor flask.

Right i am getting a much warmer vape. Down at 350f now and still warm is that normal? Firing at 24 watts.

If your ohms are reading higher then the temps will be also, might be that?

Yea, if it is all in balance: airflow+watts+coil+wick.  I just put one of my DNAs down the 350 F, still warm, but less vapour & flavour than I like, but was only 0.25% Ethyl Maltol mix.

so i first started using ni wrapping my own and didnt/couldnt get it right so i brought some pre wrapped ni coils from ft and recieved them a couple of weeks ago but due to the beginning outcome i couldnt be arsed with it.

finally set my subtank mini up and coil reading 0.19-0.20ohm its on 25w with cotton bacon wick 430f



so far so good,

if it works out then happy days

I would have expected it to be slightly lower than 0.25ohms Roscopecotrain but if it's staying in temp mode and not intermittently droping out and reading volts intead of temp then your connections are ok.
Seems like it's working well for you at those setting and if it's a satisfying vape then it's right.

Here's something worth thinking about though. I recoiled a SquapeR this morning expecting 0.14ohms but it read 0.19ohms. first couple of vapes were ok then there was a noticeable change in the vape as it dropped out and I lost preheat. For the next 5mins everything was fine again and still reading 0.19ohms. I knew it really should have been lower so I 'vanity vaped,' basically checking what temp it was reading in a mirror while I took a draw, it only reached 130c -140c (265f -285f) The vape seemed ok but not the readings.

So if the 0.19ohms was wrong as I suspected then the temp is wrong as well, I tightened both post down a bit and hey presto 0.14ohms and 180c - 200c reading through a draw. The only conclusion is the connections were just good enough to stay in temp mode, but the slight looseness was effecting the resistance reading.

I've had that to with twisted @scooby, it sometimes need and extra tighten after the first few heat cycles and checking if the resistance rises a Origenny had been stable at 0.11 ohm for about 4 weeks then drifted up to 0.14 ohm and it was the negative screw that was loose (sleeper coils).
