seriously after the 3rd reef about 1 ile out he told us to lose the preservers and in we went I immediatley got a mouthfull of wash and started my panic mode, bear in mind this is the morning of my wedding day.....
nobody around the skipper of the hobbycat had gone back to the beach and on looking they were smaller than ants (to give you an idea of how far out we were).
After aout 15 mins of trying hopelessy to try and breast/crawl/backstroke to shore I seriously thought my time was up, I was so knackered I couldnt move my arms.
next thing some welsh teens had turned up in the distance (we had been winding them up all week) thought we were messing again and were about to leave when one sensible of the group realized we were in trouble...............

well they eventually agreed to tow us to shore (i do have photos to my embarassment) it took an hour. then these cockney guys equally I had been winding up came over to tip us over till they realized what had happened.
eventually despite my self imposed no drinking till after the wedding I gave in to a large jamesons and went to get showered and changed.
graham (bro in law) ironed my shirt as well as his and soaking wet from shower i pulled the iron from the socket and the whole goddam thing came out of the wall. Socket as well.
the welsh kids mum took a video of our wedding and input the wonderful words "have you told her of how you nearly drowned and electricuted yourself today I didnt want her to know how close to it I really came till after the nuptuals but hey it was cuba. and a day I shall never forget for a couple of reasons.
Not quite in benidorm style but in any other way a comedy series in the making.
you had to be there.
on the stag night my br inlaw was challenged to jump on all the sun loungers in an area where the last lounger was by the steep steps down to another level in the resort and thankfully he missed the last one and only twisted his ankle instead of breaking his neck (oh we laughed)
