SX350 Mini M Class Firmware Upgrade !

Hi

If anyone is planning on upgrading their SX Mini M class, please note the following as there appears to be a bit of a hash up with their files.

I downloaded the SXi driver software from the  downloads section of the yihi website,, this version would not upgrade the firmware on my SX350, instead go to the page listed below for the Sxi program,  bottom right.

Here

Download it and install, then pick either the 120w upgrade for M class or the 150w version ( High wattages will only work with the dual batteries and extension tube)

Changes with this upgrade include: an ECo mode,( Improved battery life, screen goes blank faster) Gravity sensor on or off,and correct some bugs, since the upgrade mine now seems similar in operation to the RDNA40, strangely seems as if theres more power or vape than before at the same setting on the original firmware, so dunno. maybe they have been tweaking things?

Nice one car147 thanks for the heads up on this, I will do the upgrade when I get in from work in the morning, I am assuming it is not mac compatible?

Yeah, just did my upgrade, bit of a ball basher on windows 8.1 pro and with the files being rar too, but i am getting the same as your quote in bold, liking the eco mode very much and a great addition is that the gravity sensor can now be turned off and on   one thing that is rubbish is that they could have made it 70 watts instead of 120/150 because i am yet to see anyone with extension tubes for the M Class

i have a windows 7 computer
i cant get the upgrade to download , laptop keeps saying cannot open file
will i need to upgrade my mclass on a newer computer, im not very good with computers and files and all that.
i downloaded mclass instruction manual, no bother from yihi website. but this download is not working

I am also on Win 8.1 which just seemed to make it a lot harder than need be, quite liking the Eco mode and a seemingly improved vaping experience . I noticed one guy on another forum with the extn tube, he reckoned it was only showing 147w on the mod with the extension ( which is bloody fuggly imo) but I guess that's possibly down to the resistance of the coil he's using.

I have no interest at those kind of watts, quite happy at between 20w- 34w depending on juice, tank, etc, etc

you could have or antivurus may have blocked it ,if your using Internet Explorer you may see at bottom of page" allow download " select save

You may need winrar to open the rar file, it's free and trusted I have been using it for must be at least 10 years, they are just like zip files but a bit better.

car147 I would guss that having less power than before is them calibrating the temperature a little better, they did get much hotter than the DNAs for any given tempreture.

I'm on Win7, downloaded the driver & update files, ran the driver software and it installed okay, went to the connection button and Install driver pressed the win7 and 8 button that pops up, brought the driver install window to the front and it is all dimmed out can't do a thing with it - so cannot connect the Yihi to the computer as no driver found - did try manually installing the driver but Win7 wouldn't have it.

I had similar Bob, did you download the update software from the location I gave? Also try re booting the PC as that cured the initial connection problem I had with win8.1

As Vapingbad said, you will need Winrar to open the update file ( which I just saved to desktop for simplicity's sake.)

I downloaded both the driver software and the update file from the link in the 1st post above, going down to the bottom of the page, I tried rebooting and am an avid user of WinRAR, always hated WinZIP
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well but it just will not Install the driver from the Connection tab.

Bob first try other USB cables then you could try installing the driver, rebooting then right click the installer file and choose run as administrator.

I take it your Sx Mini is in link mode?
