Just had a quick look at the Eco Mode (it's between Soft and Standard) it appears that the max Joules that can be set on that is 40J (don't know if that's down to the build or not 0.06 on my KF4)

HEEEEEEEELP I have down loaded Winrar and the SXi software along with the 120w upgrade file but my windows 7 is not recognising the SX 350. Tried all the above tasks from the previous posts, deleting and re-loading, turning off PC and restarting. Just getting that double tone that says USB device not recognised plus the written warning in the bottom right of screen saying the same as soon as I plug in the USB The SX350 then locks out and the only way to restart it is to take out and put back the battery. Been at it for 3 hours now.......what am I doing wrong. Any chance of an itemised idiots guide please

Connect your device to your computer and make sure the SXi software recognises it as connected! If not turn on the link mode in the device menu.
Scroll to the bottom of the yihi web page and you will see upgrade firmware for M Class 120w & 150w I just clicked the 150 one.
It will download the file to your computer (take note of where it has downloaded to.)
Once Downloaded open the SXi upgrade software you would have installed when you purchased the mod. Once open click on Upgrade then click open file...then choose the file you just downloaded.
Once selected click on upgrade.
Hopefully this will help.

The way I did it was download & install the software
On the SX set link to on - it will then shut down, connect to computer using a data cable, it should then recognise it correctly
Open Software and click on Connection button, then select install driver click the next window that opens and it should open another (which may get hidden behind the main one if so bring it to the front and you should then be able to install the driver), once that is done click Connect, return to the main screen and Select Upgrade and locate the Updated Firmware file and press Upgrade

Thanks lordvaper, Followed your instructions and eventually got there. It must be me, but I have never come across such a faff........still not sure how I got there After the upgrade, the SX350 was completely dead until I took out the battery and re-inserted it. Thanks again.

[/quote] Cheers VB, I kept trying with the link mode but the SX kept dying on me, then not being recognised.......I think it was just me doing things in the wrong order. The Yihi instructions dont help very much but Bob`s post after yours also helps make more sense of things

I would have thought a company like Yihi would have been able to make the update method so much easier, why the software in this day and age is not user friendly God only knows.
I cannot understand why they have not developed it so as the software recognises your Sx350, checks instantly if the latest firmware is installed, and if not then asks do you want to upgrade to Blah, blah, blah!

Ok folks, been reading over on POTV that there's a bug in the Eco setting in that if you remove the battery in Eco mode, when re inserted it can show as a fully depleted battery despite being fully charged, quick work around is to change the battery in any setting other than Eco. Off to try mine and report back.
Ain't life fun lol
