A quick question for Lemo 2 owners

What gauge is the kanthal that comes with it?

I need to order some more as I was able to build with it and I'm terrible at that sort of thing. Definitely thicker than I've used in the past and far less springy.

The Lemo 2 I have came with 1 pre made coil and 1m of wire in a small 'baggy', don't know what type of wire it is BrenD but can tell you it measures 0.50 on my micrometer, guessing it's 24AWG

0.5mm according to the info in the box, to it comes pre coiled n wicked so you have a couple of weeks before you need to consider re coiling,,

That's what I thought too, but none of my mods liked the build it came with. Rather than fiddle, I whipped it out and put a rather wonky looking coil of my own in. A shooting for 0.5, getting 0.4 and not really caring kind of thing.

But the wire was amazing. It still took me ages to get the coil in the bloody thing, but at least I didn't struggle with making the coil AND building as I usually do.

Edit: how rude of me, cheers for pointing me in the direction of what I'm after!

hi i know some people have complained about the supplied wire and said not to use and to make sure you get the 0.5 kanthal wire or 80/20 nickel ,i know my son said supplied was crap and is now using my wire and its great hope that helps

Interesting to know, i'm yet to use my Lemo 2 so thanks for the heads up. Any particular reason why people are complaining about the wire?

apparently they dont think its whats it supposed to be a, cheap imitation ..i cant confirm this just what a have read on other sites and my sons own experience saying our kanthal was far better ...take that what you will ,you can always try it out no harm
