Is my iStick20 dying?

Morning folks
Last night my stick started playing up with a pro tank onboard - I noticed that it thought that the coil was 2.8 rather than 2.0 and I could not get the wattage above 10.8W. Thake the tank of and it merrily went up to 20w, back to 10.8w when I put the tank back on. A min or so later I got atomiser low message followed by no atomiser.  I have tried 3 different tanks on it and also tried easing the centre pin up to no avail.
Any ideas?

It could be a dodgy coil, maybe swap for a new coil or the Pro Tank could be shorting somehow, have you tried loosening the tank slightly i.e not fully tighting?

I hate to say this DrMark, but my wife's iStick behaved like this just before it died completely. On the flip side, she is now using mine and it's behaving really well *touches wood*

Yep it's probably the 510 playing up they are secured using something that looks like silicon sealant so it doesn't last that long, I have used this guide to repair them

Unfortunately the same with 3 different tanks, guess chykensa is probably right (RIP) - had a look at smarties guide - you must be having a laugh - I can easily dissect a brain but can barely rewire a 3 pin plug

Yep dont forget to use the epacket option if available I've had 2 orders arrive in a week and it only costs a couple of dollars

My istick did the very same thing a month ago DrMark . I manage to flatten the battery and recharged it and it's been fine since (touch wood).

striker42 might take a look at it for you DrMark, he's had some success with mending poorly iStick 20's.


Though I'd still buy a 30 watter, be a shame to miss the opportunity for a little shopping.

Just a wee thought DrMark have you tried an adapter on it? (any that fits? Sort of like 510-510 or ego to 510 should work?)

Might get a bit more longevity out of it if you have one lying about?
